Definitely looking forward to this, from the tracklist and Deetron's history.

I couldn't really get into the most recent Balance mix from Henry Saiz, and Nick Warren's mix was extremely competent rather than inspiringly brilliant, but Balance are still putting out really high quality mixes, and I feel I should support that - if only for the gems that come along every once in a while.

I'm really surprised that this hasn't been done more often before - a disc for a digital mix plus a second with a good old 'standard' DJ mix. Truly embrace all the many options DJ's have now. (Plus avoiding that tiresome debate over vinyl vs digital too!)

Looking forward to this release - as mentioned above the Fuse mix was great, so was many of his sets floating about on the net.

It's not quite the same thing, but Zabiela did it ages ago with Four.2 - an Ableton mix called Zero Rendered which was a sort of downtempo "disc zero" for the usual four-disc set (taking the total to 5). I believe the other 4 discs were recorded live on CDJs and turntables.

James Zabiela also did something similar for his "Utilities" mix for Renaissance in 2005 - first disc "Computed" was all done in Ableton, second disc "Recorded" was mixed live.

Was surprised not to see a review of Henry Saiz's Balance 019 on this site - easily one of the best Balance mixes out there! Looking forward to Deetron's, tracklisting looks great!

Thanks for reminding me about Utilities - I'd completely forgotten about it! I didn't enjoy it that much when it came out, but I'll dig it up and see if it's aged well (as these things sometimes do).

Can't wait. Love Deetron's productions and the Balance always brings quality compilations.

I'll be damned!!!! Now this should prove to be quite an intriguing combination. I think this will be worth its weight, hopefully be something that stands the test of time as well. Looking forward to getting my hands on this one!!!

There is a thin line between what creates emotional response within clearly balanced frequencies of the fabric and boldness of the rhythm. There can be no capitalism in this room! Gamma Burst mix by Corey Laliberte - http://official.fm/tracks/hZUh

Love this series, it will be hard to beat Henry Saiz 019 but an excellent choice just the same. Global Underground, take note...

Wax 30003 + Bring U Up = Woo

But that's just one standout moment on what is a superb 2 disc mix from a true DJ.
