THIS.
perfection is a curse in a way, but a blessing as well . if he wasn't so hard on himself he wouldn't have made such great music. it's a personal struggle, but i feel it's one that's totally worth it.
apparat seems to be such an epic dude. count me as a fan.

he needs to learn that the more time you spend trying to make something perfect, the more imperfect it'll be - it will never be perfect with your effort. make it imperfect and it becomes perfect.

| #8 / Sat, 01 Oct 11 16:19 Ironically, given what he says about Djing, he delivered one of the greatest club sets that I've heard in quite a while at Bloc. this year. Really awesome stuff.
The Moderat / 50 Weapons / Apparat / Modeselektor camp are right at the forefront of electronic music right now. There isn't really anyone close to doing what they are.

Unfortunately, I agree. Apparat band shows sound to me like discarded forgotten b-sides from Radiohead. Apparat DJ is quite good, and the Apparat producer is just great.

| #11 / Sun, 02 Oct 11 15:09 i was dissanpointed by hearing new album same much as i was impressed first time hearing "Walls" tracks..
i'm also asking myself how so many people still saying "omg its so amazing".. when it's 200% different thing than we all used to hear by Apparat..
don't like it.. lyrics,vocals... so unnecessary :/

| #16 / Tue, 04 Oct 11 17:30 I agree that sometimes the live band thing doesn't work with these guys - I think it depends how the venue treats it, what time the acts are on, that kind of thing. With the new Apparat album I can imagine it working really well live, though, as it's melodic enough - going to see them/him this month and cannot wait just to hear the new tracks.

NO! Sometimes an electronic producer knows how to addapt their sounds to a live band, an Trentemoller is one of the most gifted ones in this.
