Usually you can buy tickets inside Berghain from the first weekend of December...however having a ticket does not mean guaranteed entry as explained on their web page last year...

The usual: dress down / hipster (for want of a better word!), be in a small mixed group (ideally 1 guy 1 girl), do not be loud, drunk, show obvious signs of englisness if possible! we went over from Leeds earlier this year and got in. altho it was just to the panne as Berghain was having the snax party.

Reading this I first agreed but then ... I think they must preserve some space against people like me/us?. In this big building it´s not all only about house and techno. To keep the berghain floor longer opened is a best idea and that´s what they do sometimes. But of course I support the idea for NYE. there are so many people that night and I had also a lot of fun there last times.

Maybe they are trying to get artists that are playing elsewhere for New Years as well (I know Klock and Liebing did last year). I did a bit of math, and assuming the party runs into the evening of the 2nd, this is a 5+ hour set for all involved. Which is kind of normal for Berghain, so who knows really? We will find out soon enough.
