| #0 / Wed, 10 Aug 05 20:00 Confessions on a Dancefloor, Madonna’s 10th artist album will officially hit stores on November 15, 2005 with her first single “Hung Up” scheduled for an October 17th, 2005 release date on radio and stores.
Stuart Price, or Jacques Lu Cont for those in the know, the musical director for Madonna's ‘Re-Invention Tour' last time around and also co-writer of the track 'X-Static Process' from “American Life” has produced the first single and record has also been quite busy as his other productions for Juliet in ‘Avalon’ and ‘Ride the Pain’ that have crossed-over to the pop charts, giving the underground producer more visibility and attention from mainstream artist.
Confessions, currently being mixed in Los Angeles with the photo shoot of the album cover to follow in the coming month by Steven Klein who is also expected to direct the video for the ‘Hung Up.’
The new album has taken a different turn compared to 2003’s “American Life” which saw the material girl become more outspoken in her views in her music. This time around, Madonna looks to have focused all her energy to what made her a household name – dance music. In its core, the album has been described from inside Maverick Records as “entirely a dance-driven pop disc. No message. No ballads. All fun.”
Also to note, a previously unreleased remix of "Easy Ride" has become available on Tracy Young's new compilation DANCECULTURE, which was released days ago on August 9th, 2005.

| RA News Madonna ditches messages and ballads with her new album due in November focussed squarely on dance-driven pop, all thanks to her producer Jacques Lu Cont.

It seems wrong to compare madonna to tiesto 5 years ago... but you just can't help it.

| #12 / Tue, 15 Nov 05 13:32 Out of all the songs to choose from on the album, my favorite is track 2, entitled "Get Together". A couple of harder remixes would be perfect right about now.
I find that "Hung Up" is already becoming pretty stale, even with the remixes.

I'm not a fan of 'Hung Up' at all... I like the video and I like the breakdown in the song but that's about it...

Trust me, Mayer deployed it to great effect last night. imo maybe one of those tracks you have to hear on a bigger system with a crowd that will react to it the right way?

I agree Ants Ray of Light was her best album thus far, however, I've heard this one and I'm digging it as well.

| #22 / Fri, 16 Dec 05 18:15 honestly..i think stuart price did a damn good job on producing the beats and if u imagine the tracks without madonna's voice on them they sound damn good probably would have been alot of great tracks on there with a different vocalist but madonna's voice sounds kinda whack on them sometimes..

| #25 / Sun, 18 Dec 05 05:21 great album. wouldn't expect less. she's been doing this for a long time now. So she has the money, the contacts, to surround herself with the best and most proficient in the industry, and in turn she has really improved as a musician and performer. All the while, she also managed to keep herself intresting.....she gets two gold stars, the album, errrghh, two small gold stars. cheers

| #26 / Sun, 18 Dec 05 21:36 Am on my second listen of the album and Madge has still got it! Future lovers, forbidden love, jump, & how high are doing it for me so far - am sure the rest will grow on me with every listen. As much as Hung Up has been smashed time & time again, I must say I heard it for the first time on a club system just a couple of weeks ago (thanks to Sasha) and my my, definitly had everyone up shakin' the booty!
