| #201 / Mon, 09 Apr 12 20:55 First and foremost i would just like to say all the djs did a fucking good job, the sounds they were pumping out was sex to my ears.
The queue to get in i can understand, cause we dont want any muggy cunts bringing in blades and tools, we dont want no fucking violence we just wanna get off our heads, cut some serious rug and get along with everyone, that is what raving is all about. Love for the music, the shape-cutting and most important of all the people. Everyones faces in the queue was fucking hilarious when the old bill had the sniffer dogs trotting up and down, nearly everyones arseholes were going.
Once you eventually got past the first queue, you had to queue up again and get your wristband, then you had to queue up again to get your drink tokens. this took fucking ages, i thought thank fuck for that, the queing is all done with now, but no another big fuck off queue awaited me to get into the arena, why did they only have one entrance and loads of fucking exits, what is that all about?
Anyways, i get in the arena now and im really excited like a kid at xmas, start having a few drinks and a little dance and some of them other things! i move up a bit closer to the dj and find a nice little spot to cut some mad shapes on with my pals and a few birds just loving life in your own little world. Then boom! some cunt stamps on your foot or some snapback little mug just barges you out the way, all it takes is for you to just say to whoevers in your way 'sorry mate can i squeeze by' you dont fucking barge people out the way and push them about. There was even birds pushing people out the way, people thinking they own the place. The crowds these type of uk events attract are cunts that youd expect at a garage or bashment rave, its probably about 80% of the people that are the snapback tobys and laundry girls, (i dont get why the fuck they dress like that, its a bit too much trying to be different), that just wanna start trouble all the time and dont have a clue about the music. You get the 20% of people that are down for a good time.Respect.
I thought fucking hell its just like hot natured nyd all over again, the invasion of the snapback cunts and the laundry girls. Anyway i thought fuck it im rushing and this music is the bollocks so i just stood my ground and carried on cutting shapes and enjoying myself. Then i started fucking getting all flinchy, twitchy and trippy because the next thing i see was geezers launching full bottles of water and cans of beer into the crowd being fucking idiots, smashing on peoples heads. Thats fucking messed up man grow up. Then i was getting cunts getting in my grill a bit to close to me all the time. Then when you tried getting through the crowd yourself to go toilet or go to the other arena or wherever you started feeling well sorry for the people you had to squeeze by and tell them sorry each time u bumped into someone coz some cunt would push you.
Everytime i walked back into the arena you had to fucking queue for ages then youd get a load of cunts jumping in and you didnt wanna say anything coz u could start a tear up and thats the last thing youd want to happen, thats one of the reasons you go raving, to avoid trouble. all at the back of the arena and round the sides under the bays and near the end bar there was stone cold sober geezers preying on monged out birds it was disgusting, thats fucked up.
I danced to every bit of music that was played in the arena right to very end then we was all getting G'd up for the hot natured after party, But there was another fucking massive queue! same sort of shit in the after party but was a lot better coz there was less cunts in there.
The venue was fucking sick but birmingham is a massive shithole, i know a fella whos moving back there, i said hes gotta be off his nut.
The music was off the head so fucking sick, mental mixes, but most of the people, not everyone were violent, muggy cunts that all they care about is there image and making sure they are being seen at these events.
They need to organise these events a lot better, the people that organised that couldnt run a fucking bath
Peace

| #203 / Mon, 09 Apr 12 22:14 I thought the party was amazing! I qued for 45 minutes at around 3pm, which is reasonable for the amount of people they had to get in, i have qued longer for Fabric.
The soundsystem in the main stage was unreal, vedry loud and crisp for an oputdoor party, i thought the oprganisation was really good for a party this size, the 1 way system proved a success so you didnt have mobs of people everywhere, area 2 was really nice and intimate, it was a shame it had to get turned down just as Maceo Plex came on, so ventured over to the main arena and JJ was killing it with a different sound to what he normally plays, Tanzmann done it for me!!
Yes the crowd was very diverse, but thats what you will get at a 4000+ capacity venue in Birmingham.
After party layout was really good, YES there was ques but i never qued for no more than 10 minutes, to get into the after party i qued for around 20 minutes, not bad seeing how many people it held!
For one promoter to organise 2 huge partys like that, i think they done VERY VERY well, you have got to give credit when credit is due, was one of the best partys of the year for me!
VisionQuest after party was also great, lovely space and good people, didnt manage it till the end.
Overall - Huge UK party, they only really have partys like this in different countrys, or Festivals where ticket pricing is over £100 and soundsystem also very low and not everybodys cup of tea music. Crowd was a bit rude, but it was expected as too how many people and it also being in Brum!
Was worth a trip from London for sure! Looking forward to hearing whats coming up next at The Arena!

| #204 / Tue, 10 Apr 12 10:44 Thanks for the write up's guys, really well written too, keep them coming! I couldn't attend ( The 'bandwagon' point is spot on, but ultimately inevitable. Shit people = shit vibes no matter on the tunes. The 'loco sound gets me all euphoric, but vibes from the DC10 closing party or birm (what it sounds like) just makes me sweaty and bored.

| #206 / Tue, 10 Apr 12 15:12 Thought it was VERY badly organised!! ok you expect to queue at these sort of events but seriously you had to queue for everything! que to get in, que to get wristband, que for drink tokens, que to get in the arena, que to get a drink... you end up missing half of it standing in a queue....
i had a wristband to get in the afterparty and still didnt get in!! then we was told ppl without the right wristbands had managed to get in!! how the fuck did this happen!? all down to poor organisation.
i'm gutted coz i was looking forward to this event for weeks.
also they said its a new arena?? its just some shit hole in birmingham!!

| #207 / Tue, 10 Apr 12 17:37 does anyone know an email or address for the people who run the circoloco and hotnatured partys ? the partys were unreal and i would like to say well done for pulling them off so well, but the problem i have at hot natured after party i waited a while for tokens and then when i got to the bar to buy them i asked if the tokens would be used all weekend and at the visionquest party on the sunday which took place at rainbow pub the lady said yes all three events they will be used so i bought £100 worth which worked out to be 32 tokens i used about 8 of them tokens for me and my wife and when i got to visionquest i was told they could not be used and that i was mislead and there was no way of getting hold of the organiser or management of the earlier partys i bought the tokens from the bar in the white marquee bit off of a young black lady can someone please help me out thanks

| #210 / Tue, 10 Apr 12 23:04 Far too many haters here. The party was unreal. Best UK party by far to date. Got there at 3 same as everyone else so expected to que. was in within an hour but then got tokens straight away.
Went into see Dyed for a bit then into Arena 2 for Martinez Brothers who was on another level. Amazing set from those guys. Back to Arena 1 cued for a short while but kept moving and was straight into the think of it about 20 foot away from the from front. There were about 10 of us who all had plenty of room to dance with no attitude around us. The only attitude was surrounding the entrance near the bar where the sound clanged off the back wall. Anyone with any sense would move away from the busy bar and towards to front where the party and vibe was pumping
Kerri Chandler played a superb set on point as always with Jamie Jones pushing it up a notch, the system seemed to get louder and louder with each tune he played. Tanzmann played a quality set. We went back to see DJ Sneak as I'm a big fan but the sound system was too quiet by this time which was killing everyone's buzz which was a shame. We went back to arena 1 didn't que for long again and back to where we were before with plenty of room to dance again with no attitude
The venue was superb, the sound system was banging and the vibe was good throughout. Granted Birmingham is a fucking carzi and I wouldnt wish to return for anything other than a rave.
Hats off to the promoters and the DJ's involved. Anyone know if there are any photos to go up. The videos on YouTube show how good te party was.
Let's hope for another party soon. Maybe in London to reduce the travel but I would def go back to the Arena again.

| #211 / Wed, 11 Apr 12 12:05 I agree with the majority of the above.
Far to much queuing, surely they should have known what the demand and volume of people would be like, having to queue based on who you purchased your ticket through seemed abit pointless to me.
Sound in room 2 was far to low, and there were no toilets. Also the doormen monitoring who was being let in and who wasn't were just letting people they new walk through, they were claiming they had vip wristbands, however they had pink ones the same as everyone else.

| #212 / Wed, 11 Apr 12 15:03 Turned up at 6pm, ok a little late, had my e-ticket with me that had absolutely no mention of and "doors closing time" or "no entry after" and was told by the security staff that the doors were now closed, even though I had already paid for my ticket!
I was told to go to the entrance of hot natured and wait until that opened where I would be able to get in later! ( only problem is you ha to walk through loco to get there, so was impossible)
After some strong words with door staff, the asked me "how much did I want to get it" after asking what he ment he replied "how much money do you have on you, £50 will get you in"
So after paying my initial £60 for circo and hotnatured ticket I then had to pay a further £50 on the door, after speaking to thee people on the night they had been doing this all night, running their own till, basically stealing of anyone that didn't get there bang on time!
Once we had got in we were told all wrist bands had gone, surely these should not have been given out without the correct paper work supplied by the person who had actually paid for it, so how the hell can they run out?
Sounds like once the main organisers had left the entrance, those running security set up there own shop! Fucking disgraceful, not what I would expect from such a well know organiser!

| #214 / Wed, 11 Apr 12 20:24 Have to ask yourself... Do you que for over an hour to get into Amnesia ? Do you que to get from main room to the terrace ? Same goes for Space, Dc10 & the other massive clubs, hosting huge nights with the worlds best dj's.
No you don't, because these clubs/promoters put thought, time & effort into making the event good for the people... not just to get their quick money fix.
Circo was run like a little kids birthday party at pizza hut.... mayhem. Their NYD event wasn't too bad but the crowd was like something out of kidulthood. Never doing a uk event with them again.
Queo Loco.
