| #8 / Wed, 04 Jan 12 16:23 (Edited: 6 Jan 12 09:24) Cautiously optimistic. Been increasingly disappointed by his output as of late and the description makes this sound like more of the same. Still, I can't say that I'm not looking forward to the album.
This sounds promising though - 'I've always wanted to take an idea to its logical conclusion then move on to something else. What I'm looking forward to now actually is getting back in the studio and doing something completely different'.

| #16 / Thu, 05 Jan 12 14:17 another album? is one a year necessary? it's starting to be an annual event like a new 'Call of Duty' game , well produced but more of the same , regardless of how it's presented.

| #29 / Sun, 15 Jan 12 11:51 for me first his album is the best. I don't know why a lot of people so impressed 'triangulation'. This didn't meat that 'T' is bad, but 'a mutant antipathy' is more dark, more atmospheric, more dubby and creative . 'triangulation' is more market oriented, for wide public, I think. Hope that his third work will be different in main of both previous )

| #35 / Tue, 06 Mar 12 11:42 Reminds me of Leftfield's Rhythm And Stealth elpee in the undeniable power of the production, the thrall to electro and the lack of subtlety or indeed anything approaching innovation in the music. Big beat for beardy boys. I love your attitude Paul and vast swathes of your work, but this new freakazoid maximalism direction isn't really doing it for me. If it's doing it for you though that's cool. Next time.

Next @ Loop | #36 / Tue, 06 Mar 12 13:22 I like it.
I've liked all his albums though. Dunno whether I'd say its better or worse than whats gone before but its a good album.
I've got respect for any producer that keeps trying new things and there's been a clear evolution in each album with him.

| #37 / Tue, 06 Mar 12 17:42 Sometimes music grabs you and you never want to let go. Sometimes you can watch it pass you by and although it doesn't offend you, it doesn't make you feel it. Unfortunately it was the latter for me in this case. Also noticed a recurring trancey rift throughout that was most impressive with Adrenaline in my opinion. Maybe some of these tracks could sound good as part of a varied set but as an album it is not for me.

| #38 / Wed, 07 Mar 12 16:23 (Edited: 7 Mar 12 16:29) this album is an example of trying too hard to stay "one step ahead of the game". shit got out of hand fam; "bass" music and "things that happened after dubstep" basically prompted producers to try and find the next big thing... and while it's a good thing to be trying new things scuba fell flat on his face. what were you thinking son, that everyone was gonna be producing trance because you made a trancey album? lmao
ps too bad this got an 8.1 on p4k by andrew ryce, which means this will most likely be given a high rating on RA aka paul rose will be given a free pass to keep making shit music

 | RA Review Even after the pupil-dilating trance of 2011's hit single "Adrenalin" and the cellar-dweller techno he's produced as SCB the last couple years, there's probably going to be a moment on your first listen through Scuba's third album, Personality , where you wonder if he's taking the piss. After all,..

| #39 / Thu, 08 Mar 12 09:55 i actually like this alot....for me the color spectrum of sound in most bass music is monochromatic and seem to eb afraid to step out of the dark box that its stuck in...
i applaud his risky move and wish more producers would try something new.....and emulating 2step/garage from the late 90s is not new btw or interesting for that matter

| #40 / Thu, 08 Mar 12 10:05 olos, as I remember you liking trance, I was sure you would like this one I like it too, but it sounds too balearic at times. Too forced balearic. But some tunes, like the enormous 'July', are among the best of Scuba's career.

| #42 / Thu, 08 Mar 12 10:24 Scuba's 'Personality' is magnificent. Album offered everything I have expected: proper interlude, heavy tracks and of course some deep tunes. 'The Hope' is dope.

off topic...i still like a bit of psy-trance now and again. sometimes having 'fun' heavily outweighs being cool

| #45 / Thu, 08 Mar 12 13:09 Great, totally inconspicuous first post, The Beginner. @proangelwingslovespostdubbass - Word. Did anyone seriously think this was gonna get less than a 3.5 no matter how awful it was? I hope Scuba releases a nu-metal album on Hotflush featuring Fred Durst next just so I can read the reviews desperately trying to justify not only its existence, but the fact that it is definitely very good and we're just being close-minded for not appreciating a dubstep producer recreating bad music from the 90's without adding anything new to it. Posted by olos for me the color spectrum of sound in most bass music is monochromatic and seem to eb afraid to step out of the dark box that its stuck in...
This hasn't been true for a very long time now.

| #49 / Thu, 08 Mar 12 14:13 I'm really enjoying this album. It's the same top-notch production we've come to expect from Scuba, just in a new form, with a new intention. What's wrong with that? I don't need the artists I like to stick to the same genre / tone. I like different types of music for different moods, and I suspect Scuba does too. This is his take on more upbeat, extroverted music. I'm glad we get to hear this side of him. It honestly doesn't feel like a big radical departure from his other work to me, as some people are making it out to be.

| #50 / Thu, 08 Mar 12 15:24 It seems like Paul Rose has been listening to too much Underworld lately. Ewan McGregor laughs at my observation.
