| #3 / Sat, 04 Feb 12 11:10 (Edited: 4 Feb 12 11:24) What the fuck is with the £14 fabric first? I know it was rammed last time for visionquest but to be honest the nothing special is a much bigger draw for myself and as a dedicated memeber i dont appreciate being ripped off on our residents own night. I see no rise on the regular price ticket so why put the squeeze on members?
Its bad enough to pay for £15 when our quarterly resident comes down to play his extended sets but i think its uncalled for here. I enjoy Troxler's sets and loved the period when he was playing alot with Craig/the on and on's etc. Its a shame it has come to this...
On a positive note, i think the programming for february and early march is a great improvement over the previous months so please keep this up.

| #5 / Sun, 05 Feb 12 03:11 (Edited: 5 Feb 12 03:31) Oh shit, yeah your right. I'm really worried Its going down the pan... First they drop the £5 after 5 entry and make it £9, so we lost that whole morning crowd and the heads, and the special room 1 morning thing is not as strong. I can't see many remaining regulars lasting this one. It just feels like a different time. i think alot of people will cancel i'm betting...

shit, looks like your right. With £6 difference for entry between a member and a non-member, not sure if its worth being fabricfist any more. Cds are great and everything, but the main benefit for me is reduced entry. OK, so theres a queue jump, but most of the time, apart from the biggest nights, it doesn't take that long to get in anyway. This price rise is going to make me think twice...

| #7 / Sun, 05 Feb 12 13:27 if they are trying to make ends meet it's probably a bit of a catch 22 situation, more and more hype followers are going to see big name dj's at fabric...this on the one hand helps turnover but they have to pay the acts a load of money....this makes the regulars who love the club for the weird and wonderful bookings (who probably don't cost as much) not bother going any more because they expect a load of hat wearing youngsters on ket...now the more interesting nights don't raise as much income and so they have to continually provide for the masses instead of going a little off the beaten track if you like...just a thought...maybe...;-) either way there's plenty of other things going on in london...it's just a shame because room1 is a 'pretty special one' when it has the right ingredients mixed into it!

There's nothing like it, its pure magic, an experience that is unique to that room. You just have the biggest range of people from all different backgrounds and cultures brought together without prejudice dancing under the most beautiful scenery/lighting i ever saw in a club. The sound grabs a hold of you and permeates your entire being. Room 1 craves forward thinking electronic music. Only that system in those walls can present this music to the masses but its been a while i'm afraid since there's been enough consistency to it. My favourite passtime in there is to watch people that are being exposed to this music in this way for what seems like the first time. I've seen people from all over the world literally lose there mind in there with a look in there eyes that i have not seen replicated anywhere. However, with fabric you really need a good mix of regulars and people from allover really to have those special ones, but the room 1 line ups havn't been exciting enough for a while to keep regulars coming. Like you say, there's alot on offer around the capital these days, but none quite as cutting edge as fabric can potentially be.... They don't realise that the £3 will actually price most of the regulars out. We live in London, its a strain, we need the escapism, but to go twice a month will now cost £33 including the mebership fee. I don't mind paying it, but the room one line ups would have to seriously improve to warrant paying that. I'm talking cutting edge, not the rotational thing thats happening, like the way it used to be....

| #22 / Sat, 03 Mar 12 16:12 What a pity for a fabric members, they could just reduce the prices for a change, anyway more likely it's going to be a great night with Seth Troxler and the crew... www.clubbingunlimited.com

| #31 / Mon, 05 Mar 12 23:13 Very enjoyable, balanced lineup in all three rooms. Outstanding live sets. Seth Troxler was in top form, nice dark set. Was leaving just before 9 and room 1 was still quite full.

| RA Review Hometown of countless electronic music pioneers and more recently the meeting place of the four boys behind Visionquest, Detroit has little left to prove in its significance in electronic music. Visionquest have pushed a unique blend of upbeat deep house and eclectic techno in their DJ and live sets..
|
 |
| #34 / Fri, 16 Mar 12 19:58 though i have not seen troxler or shaun reeves in action, and i believe they are the most talented of the four...the hype is pretty lame at this point w these guys. saw curtiss/crosson a few months ago...was pretty let down. they played a bunch of really obvious tech house, nothing close to some sublime experience people keep reporting on. it was ok...but...
check this for review of said show.
