Fosfobox is one of the best underground nightclubs in Rio when the subject is electronic music, although it's not the only kind of music played there (except on Saturdays).
Another good option is 00, it has excellent drinks by the way.
If you want to listen to indie rock, go to Casa Da Matriz, although it's kinda lame nowdays.
There's also more mainstream nightclubs, like A Praia, Baronetti and a Café Del Mar in Copacabana.
