| #3 / Thu, 23 Feb 12 22:48 Wow some heartfelt dialogue here. Really inspiring story as far as escaping drug addiction and using the music world as a way to forge a new and meaningful life. Unfourtunately the opposite can occur as well. I also liked his "rant" at the end and not simply settling for the status quo. Given the current model for dj's and producers is it only a matter of time before we will never see anybody like Burial or the next Drexciya? That is producers who focus all of their energies into the studio side of things. The struggle between between controlling piracy and maintaining a censor free internet which is not ruled by corporate and government overlords is no closer to being resolved as evidenced by the recent SOPA battles. The pace at which technology advances far outpaces politicians abilities to understand and legislate accordingly (Shakes fist at Moore's Law.) At the end of the day I am at least assured that there are still men of principle out there....

| #9 / Sat, 25 Feb 12 00:44 he sounds like a great guy. It was a bit sad to hear about Gemini- especially since he made some amazing music. Wished there was a little more talk about Freaks and Justin Harris and their early releases on Phono and all those Acid releases they did which were amazing. Great interview though

+1, it puts a lot of questions to bed. I've heard and read something similar to what Mr. Solomon confirmed but he summed it up with a good reason for people to understand and....leave it alone. His tracks show up on Juno from various labels and the recent Robsoul Tribute releases may have been what he was eluding to. We know where that money goes but in the end, it's still a sad story and puts a personal side to the mystery. After this, I can really like Luke Solomon "that" much more. I already really respected him and dug up that old Jean Caffeine release, my first Classic buy.

| #15 / Sun, 04 Mar 12 23:55 Really enjoyed listening to Luke. Candid, warm and so much integrity. Highlights were his views on the industry and the survival of vinyl and his explanation of why he likes vocals. Made me think how I've always liked vocal tracks too (grew up with them) but also how the vocals in "pop-trance" (cheesy vocals and lame lyrics superimposed over a track rather than an integral part of creating a song) have repelled me from the idea of vocals in EDM. There is obviously hope though!
