| #0 / Wed, 02 Nov 05 23:00 Sunday clubbing is like no other event having both a laidback feel yet also the urgency of cramming that last tune, dance or outing into your weekend. Sydney promoters Sounds Group and touring company Jam Music have now teamed up to offer a new weekly Sunday event in the city, The Garden. The party will take place in the sunny courtyard at the Slip Inn.
The party will run from 2pm to 10pm each week from November 20. Initially, The Garden will offer two differing arenas with the house arena outdoors and a hip hop, funk, and beats arena in the Sand Bar. For special events, The Garden has the ability to encompass the entire Slip Inn complex, extending to Chinese Laundry, The Cave and Slip Bar.
Sounds and Jam have secured an impressive roster of Sydney’s most esteemed DJs and acts, all contracted exclusively to The Garden for weekly Sundays this Summer. The roster includes: Ben Morris, John Course (Melb), John Devecchis, Alex Taylor, Funktrust DJs, James Taylor, Ajax, Tim Sea, Sneaky Sound System, Pty Ltd live, Learned Hand, Ben Korbel, Luna, Will Styles, Bang Gang DJs, Lippo, Trix & Goodfella, Robbie Lowe, Kid Kenobi, Noodles, James Elder, Johnny Rad, Declan Lee and Spin-X. Also playing occassionally will be Q45, Cadell and Phats.
Sounds and Jam have also hinted at international guests playing at The Garden, with the international roster for Summer to be released shortly.
The Garden will be fitted out each week with custom staging and a Nexo surround sound system, as heard at many previous Sounds special events. Entry will be $15 on the door or $13 via internet doorlist (see Sounds website).

| #1 / Thu, 03 Nov 05 00:31 Hmm.. interesting. Considering that all these guys are contracted exclusively to The Garden, doesn't leave much for SOS at Greenwood. I can see it turning into a hard trance/hard house day club...

Yep, Daniel Burns is running it now. He's worked with fuzzy, YU, kinki disco and other stuff over the last 5 years. Garden look like they have secured quite a lot of the DJ's, but i still rate the Greenwood Courtyard better than the slip inn.

| #13 / Mon, 21 Nov 05 03:33 ags, you're probably confusing it with the fact that jam, which are owned by merivale (of which establishment is part of), is co-promoting the event with Sounds.net (The Garden, not sounds on sunday).
