BOAT PARTY feat. Tom Middleton: Sound of the Cosmos (6pm - 11pm)

After our legendary Nuestra Casa Boat Party last year, we thought it would be down right rude not to take to the waves once again! So on Saturday 16th June 2012 we are back bigger and better with an extended 5 hour Thames voyage featuring a true pioneer of electronic music, TOM MIDDLETON. Tom will be playing an extremely rare and specially extended 'Sound of the Cosmos' set which we think makes this party simply unmissable!

To the untrained eye Tom is just another DJ. Beard, box of records, bounces behind the decks. You've seen one, you've seen them all, right? Wrong. You see Tom isn't just a DJ. He's a scientist; a meticulous technician with a thirst for all musical forms from breakbeat to baroque.

Researching each and every project with eagle eyed glee, Tom approaches every venture, from productions to DJ mixes, with the attention to detail that's usually reserved for the likes of architects, surgeons and engineers. His mix CDs such as 'The Sound Of The Cosmos', '3D' and 'The Trip 2' show true precision and forethought with Tom spending hours of preparation studying the key of each track and how they relate to each other.

Many believe he was born with these razor sharp skills. Classically trained in piano and cello Tom understood music's essential rudiments and theory long before he could grow those iconic whiskers on his chin. It's this adept understanding of the true technicalities of music – how it works, how arrangements compliment each other and how you can convey the strongest message – that's helped him carve a unique career that's spanned from his deep space delights with Mark Pritchard as Global Communication and Jedi Knights to last year's breathtaking debut album 'Life Tracks', a homage to the ambient and soundtrack music. To this day he refuses to sample other people's music, preferring instead to create his own sounds using virtual orchestra and band software he’s programmed himself.

He's flirted with chart success with the 2002 club smash 'Take Me With You', hosted his own show on Kiss FM, been resident at Ibiza's most super of superclubs Manumission and tutored the winning DJ Ryan Shaw in ITV's cult DJ challenge The Joy Of Decks. As a DJ he's performed in almost every corner of the globe to crowds as large as 150,000. With his trademark widescreen musical repertoire, he's spent years championing styles long before they were the norm, helping Ulrich Schnauss develop his career and hosting Hot Chip and Mylo's festival debut appearances.

More recently Tom's seen major airplay action with 'Remember The Love' – his homage to the roots of house music – Forge on Digweed's seminal Bedrock imprint, Orange Light's 'A Few Good Days' and The Golden Girls' stone-cold classic 'Kinetic'.

Joining Tom on the decks will be our irrepressible Nuestra Casa residents in the form of the disco-progressive, neo-house dynamic duo BroKen DJs, and the bouncy, tech-funk partnership of Oliver James & Cosmique.

And to cap it all off we will be bringing a state of the art Funktion-One soundsystem on to the boat to make sure the party really goes off with a bang.

After we arrive back on dry land, the party keeps on rolling until 5am at our traditional home of Bar Vinyl in Camden Town. And to keep your feet moving well into the early hours, we have drafted in some of our favourite DJs from past Nuestra Casa parties who never fail to bring the best underground music to the dancefloor.

There are a few tickets left so if you haven't got yours yet head over to www.nuestra-casa.co.uk to grab them. No tickets will be available on the door! Here's a few final details about tomorrow's party:

THE BOAT PARTY, 6.00pm - 11.00pm:

* The boat (which is called the Golden Jubilee) will be leaving from Temple Pier at 6.00pm prompt. We will not be able to wait for any latecomers so please make sure you get there on time! Temple Pier is opposite Temple Tube (Central and District Lines), and is about 10 minute walk from Embankment Tube (Central, District, Northern and Bakerloo Lines).

* We will start boarding the boat from 5.40pm onwards. You don't need to bring anything with you to get on the boat, you will just need to say your name, which will be on the guestlist. The full address of the Pier is: Temple Pier, Victoria Embankment, London, WC2R 2PN. Click here for a map of the Pier.

* There is a full bar on board the boat, with standard London prices. As there is a licensed bar, we are not allowed to bring our own drinks on board so please don't do it! Also, the bar is cash only, they don't accept any credit/debit cards so please bear that in mind.

*The boat will return to Temple Pier at 11.00pm.


THE AFTERPARTY at Bar Vinyl (Camden Town), 11.00pm - 5.00am:

*The free official Nuestra Casa Afterparty will be held at Bar Vinyl in Camden Town, and will run from 11.00pm - 5.00am, featuring Tom Morgan (Faciendo/Discoteca) and Chris Spiking alongside the Nuestra residents. Bar Vinyl is a 2 minute walk from Camden Town Tube (Northern Line). The full address of Bar Vinyl is: 6 Inverness Street, London, NW1 7HJ.

* You do not need a Boat Party ticket to come to the afterparty. All are welcome and it's free entry all night!
