This thread is just embarrassing. An arrogant promoter who likes to think he isnt a promoter / business man but a ‘Dj’. If you have to make bold statements about the nature of your parties its quite clearly not the hedonistic den you aspire to. The fact that you are also completely unaware that wolf & lamb are hardly the cutting edge of todays electronic music scene and surprised when you have londons clueless clubbers wanting to come to your party, just goes to show how far off the mark you are from what you think you’ve created. The real underground parties where people loose themselves in the music and each other do not have to keep reminding everyone that their parties are “sleazy”

The crux of this conversation all stemmed from a couple of standard customer questions not being answered, and the promoter, Alex Bradley, giving short and rude responses. These responses led to criticism, which then led to a couple of user being banned from attending. This is a display of promoter arrogance. Nothing less. Clubland is no longer the domain of free parties, generators and phone numbers of cards. It is a moneymaking machine, and people who buy tickets that fund this have the right to get their questions and issue addressed. Alex Bradley didn't address these issues. Alex has the inability to manage customer expectation, so he finds it easier to smash the ban-hammer. A continued attitude like that will simply result in more threads on public domains such as this to increase awareness to the dance music collective.

Will Alex Bradley be man enough to come on here and admit the error of his ways and to apologise to those involved? Lets see.......

Too old in the tooth as you put it, is demanding that the promoter has some respect for the people lining his pockets and when they ask questions, show them some respect and answer appropriately. Unfortunately ole bradders likes to intimidate people of a lesser character by making them seem un-cool because they refuse to follow like sheep.
The irony is, we all follow people who do not go with the flow, who have strength of character to be different and that is why we all enjoy the underground scene because of its diversity away from the mainstream.

So when you insult mraberry, take a second to think of the point he is trying to make on this thread, that he is not willing to go with the flow and that he HAS the strength of character to stick his head above the crowd (you and others) and make a stand. Without people like him, this world would be a sorry place and buying shit jesse J records.

We have had to fight hard to make this disco happen. It seems someone out there don't like us secret parties much (and some on here by the looks of it!!).. but we will continue to try to live the dream and make the party the best it can be, as those of you who know the party will know...
 
The party was originally going to be out at my new space in Hackney Wick, but, as you should hopefully already know, has been moved to the Oval Space in Bethnal Green – which is we think the nicest new spot in London right now. It's killer. If a bit hot.
 
Unfortunately, as it's such a new space, there have been a few issues getting the licence we wanted. We have all been working with the venue hard over the last few days to try to get this sorted, but with a premise license up in the air for the venue the powers that be will only let us stay open until 1am.

So, rather than cancel the party, we will be opening the doors as early as possible 3pm, putting on a BBQ (with cocktails) on the terrace and asking Wolf & Lamb (Zev and Gadi) to play from 8pm till midnight, ie. for 4 hours.

We also have an extra secret guest playing with a&a that will really get the party started and whom we cannot mention but you might be able to check the label & guess.

If you know Love Fever you know the party comes first and changes were of necessity. We actually think the Sunday afternoon start will be a blast, but if the new plans are really not working out for you then please hit us up in advance of the party on info@black-atlantic.com who can deal with queries.

But the looks of preceding threads I am sure that this will not be to some of yours liking, but looking on the list on RA there are a lot of great alternate options if your head and hearts are not on the Love Fever party bus.

It's gonna be Hot. The venue are installing a high tech, sound proofed, top spec ventilation system. With consummate timing it is going in next week.

We've hired in eight industrial fans; but dress to sweat.

On the upside, the girls won't be wearing much by midway through the night and the beer will be iced cold.
