 | RA Review Depending on how much of a vinyl hound you are, the prospect of a whole new cache of Murk mp3s is sure to bring you either joy or sorrow. I recently ruined my friend's day by informing him of this release: a veteran DJ and house-head, just days before he'd dropped some serious cash on Discogs, snapp..

Murk are legends.
If you want to enjoy Murk at its best you need to buy the shitty Murk Records vinyls (about 1 ml thick). The crackle, combines with the occasional error in the drum programming and the image of the dark, smoke filled basement in which this tracks were so obviously recorded in...it is magic.
Lets just hope they are back for good. The last few years have been painfully quiet.

| #7 / Sat, 17 Mar 12 23:49 i love murk...love what they do...cd 1 is out of sight, but sometimes less is more. the release would have had a stronger impact if they stripped it down...possibly 2 albums...?

It may have worked better had they gone with a Murk Records (including works to the first Funky Green Dogs album) and had a second disc for the tribal tinged FGD tracks, Dark Beat and solo works.
