| #1 / Fri, 16 Mar 12 17:03 Intimidating setup. From a feng shui point of view all these knobs and wires would be too much for me to handle, but the amazing and unique sounds he pulls out of those machines prove him right. Good feature.

| #11 / Mon, 19 Mar 12 10:05 Great interview, really interesting stuff, inspired me to go and have a play around. I've only encountered a real life modular system once, at the Short Circuit festival at the Roundhouse, and it was so much fun - I'd love to have one, that almost randomness to the sound generation process with wires and voltages really appeals as kind of the polar opposite of clicking around with a mouse...!

| #13 / Mon, 19 Mar 12 23:31 now thats what i call music engineering. to hell with all that poor sounding digital crap! The quality of the synths in for example disco music is so much better as most of the electronic music right now. most people have forgotten the true sound of analogue synths. Luckily you and guys like m83 are here to remind us of those forgotten possibilities. Plus, i loves ur show at trouw in amsterdam last year

Luckily you and guys like m83 are here to remind us of those forgotten possibilities. Plus, i loves ur show at trouw in amsterdam last year Did you read the part of the article where he was like : Do you think when people argue about analogue versus digital it's a bit naïve? It's ridiculous! It's stupid. I just don't get it. Analogue's got certain nice stuff about it, but digital has got certain nice stuff about it. Why would you make them into these things that are opposing each other? Why work exclusively in one or the other? No one is making you do that! It's such a dumb thing to do. I don't get it.
I was just coming to say that I was refreshed by his take on how there is too much stress on perfection. Middle path.

Now someone lend me some money so I can build a nice modular setup, I had a go at the one in Rough Trade East recently and it was great fun.

| #16 / Sat, 24 Mar 12 20:01 I actually bought Luke's DRMIII from him, and stupidly didn't put two and two together that the Luke I bought from was the same Luke who made Holkham Drones. Sadly I had to sell the DRMIII to buy a flat, but for the few months I had it, it was cracking (it's the drones in it's namesake track, among other parts). I miss it too, the kick cuts through a mix superbly and rarely needed much more than a low end roll off.
