Finkthast - we went to Godskitchen once. During the entire night we did not see any gods or kitchens. Oh and then there was Gatecrasher, but someone must have knicked the gates. And at Renaissance I think the painting thief got there first, as there certainly was no paintings :-)

There is no denying that Backroom was excellent! Sadly some that went to those events are already choosing to put us down and spread silly rumours which are getting back to us, before we have even launched. We have absolutely no beef with Backroom or anyone else. In fact we respect them for contributing so much to Cardiff and we are sure they will continue to do so. Cellar Door is just different as we are focused more on giving local DJ's and producers that are often just as good as guest's from out of town a chance. There really is nothing to be gutted about, we have 100% faith in all our DJ's, our production, door team and bar team. Just like in the Theatre, TV production and Movie making , where production companies all support each other, let's hope club promoters, DJ's and producers can work together and alongside each other to keep on building a great House music scene. We are happy peaceful people x

I personally haven't heard any malicious rumours about what you are doing with the vaults i just came to buy tickets as I had a message to say the vaults were open but from a personal point this night doesn't seem to be up my street and I think general thinking is that yours and backrooms principals are different that's all. I'm sure nobody wishes you bad luck

You are right, we are different and different is good, especially when people are all working alongside each other in a positive way and not against, which does no good for anyone. Sadly though your last comment is not quite on the button. But hey, it doesn't really matter as there are many many people liking the sound of our night. Of course the proof will be in the dancin. Hi, we did offer 150 early bird tickets at £10, which all sold out.

It is indeed a great venue, perhaps even the best in Cardiff for this type of event. However, we have had to spend significant sums to make the venue safer in case of fire etc, which is our absolute priority.

Our 'local' DJ's will do the business, that's for sure! Some of which have played clubs and events around the world. Also, it is amazing to be able to help bring new talent through too.

Backroom built up a formidable reputation, based in part on the use of the vaults. You seem to now have the keys and are charging more for entry without bothering to book a headliner, or even naming who is playing for that matter.

That said, if people are willing to pay it and you sell out, good luck to you. Just feels like profiteering to me.

We would love to charge next to nothing to come in, but the venue required costly work to bring it up to a safe standard for fire, safety and licensing compliance. It was either that, or leave the venue to sleep. We did the first 150 at a tenner, but as the capacity is only 330, we have to charge more for the rest and even then, the investment will not be recouped as easily as you imply and certainly not on the first night. However, as and when we can bring the door price down further in future, we certainly will. The team have also invested in a fantastic 12k sound system, then there is the new lighting / lasers, all the electrical work and a bespoke DJ booth. We are certainly not out to rip anyone off, but are trying to give Cardiff this amazing venue back. Thank you x

Your right, it was a state after the very last party! We have an awesome team and it's looking great ;-)

I think everyones pissed cos Derrick Carter = £15 a tik and bank vaults are already fireproof.

lighting? Lasers? bespoke DJ booth? why did you need to take the vaults for this? could have had your night in a club. The whole point of the Vaults is to avoid those things but at least you will be completely segregating this night from the Backroom one
