NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A man died in the wee hours of Saturday morning at District 36, a midtown Manhattan nightclub located on West 36th Street.

The man was bleeding from the mouth —with several teeth missing —when he staggered outside and died 90 minutes later, police said.

Waitresses who saw the man at 3 a.m. first thought he we taking a cigarette break, The New York Post reported, but when he fell over they called security, who called police.

The man was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, authorities confirmed

Will District be open?

any info if this is still going on tonight since someone died last night? RELOCATE!

With all of our thoughts going to the family and loved ones of the young man who passed last night, District 36 will be open tonight.

WTF Basic?! There's about a hundred of us pre-paid ticket holders waiting an HOUR outside the club after the show was cancelled once already and the only movement is the VIP crowd buying their way in at the entrance, let's organize and give the true fans their show! It's already 1:30am.

What a bullshit setup just to try to see a DJ, we all know this stuff happens to a certain extent but in the last hour I've been here I've seen the bouncers been bought off no less than a couple dozen times, the promoters obviously don't care about people who went out of there way to buy tix early and much more about pocketing some extra $$$

Normally ticket holders at D36 get right in. I'm not sure what happened last night. I do know that security was super tight yesterday due to what happened on Friday there.

I got there a little after 1 and there was just 1 line that was pretty long. Ticket holders and non ticket holders, didn't matter. Then at like 1:30 a ticket line finally formed and I finally got in at around 2. Why they didn't have a ticket holder line from the start I will never know. Whatever, great party though.

It was a little bit confusing at the entrance door, but this is New York, isn't it? Any way smashing event....

I left alittle before 7 and it was still packed out....did it end at 7 or go later?

Good event once inside but will concur with others that the entrance was run quite poorly by the doormen.
