Just got back from Moodymann at Brown Alley and want to send this warning:

the club was UNPREPARED for him to play RECORDS - with two consequences.

1. They had to find turntables (?!) so he came on an hour late;

2. his set (which was fantastic) was difficult to really feel, because there was NO BASS and hardly any volume. As soon as he was finished, the next (C)DJ came on, and suddenly we had bass and volume - the system being set up for the CD players and not SL12s. Kinda unbelievable.

I hope this doesn't happen to Derrick May.
