Actually this has come as a surprise for me. The lead single, because as usual, I've been listening to it in the last months not knowing where it came from (you never know nowadays if a tune came from '87, from ,95 or it's going to be released tomorrow), and Switch Switch is very beautiful, like Hudson Mohawke a little more restrained. It's the kind of tune that is a production marvel, but which is so focused in the melody that ends up being a good gentle song with memorable chord progression.
"We don't like television/we don't like new wave" is more than "channeling" Prince: it's a complete rip of the lyrics to The Time's "The Walk," which Prince wrote. Too bad Edgar's song isn't as good as that one!
