These 4 residents together, it looks like the dream team indeed. Only Nick Höppner is missing.

Damn good line-up. So good, I pushed my vacation back by a week just to make it.

Coming all the way from Toronto for this one.

I've been to Panne once before in 2008, but all the same, any tips on getting admitted in?

Panorama residents everywhere. Plus Harvey. Winner!

@ggiles03: there are about 10 RA threads with roughly 10 000 posts that deal with the issue...

Also, weird that Harvey is in Berghain. Isn't Panne more suited to his style?

Is CSD generally a very busy day at Berghain? I have never been to Berlin on this particular weekend.

i think dj harvey could easily play any style required - i'm sure whatever he has in store for the berghain floor will be not only surprising, but also entirely appropriate. lets hope they give the man at least a 5 hour slot.

brilliant choice. can't wait for this.

how was harvey's set ?
I am curious about the alchemy between him and the berghain floor.
how was it ?!

i'm praying Harvey gets a Sunday morning slot so I don't have to stress about the queue....

thankfully, it appears to me that the Panorama Bar will draw the larger amount of people on this night.

can not freakin' wait to hear the harvinator step up to that funktion one.

Def agree with you there claydoh, although I'm not holding my breath for that. If I miss Harvey, I might just catch him at Robert Johnson the following weekend.

If you get a stamp, can you come back in without lining up?

of course you can. that's the reason why i show up early most of the time and return later to avoid the queue.

yeah, ggiles03 - sometimes i do that. its usually pretty safe to try the door really early in the night night, too - they don't usually start turning lots of peeps away until the queue gets somewhat long.

almost time for this!

Is this the beginning of the end of Pbar?!?

Berghain not only bears a certain architectural resemblance to a cathedral, it's an actual temple of techno

So just to sum it up again... residents galore in Pbar, Harvey downstairs, Prosumer's last set.. and DVS1 has let slip that he'll be closing Berghain.

Jesus.

not as if prosumer will never play there again. that would be a pretty dire business move, on the part of pbar booking responsible. maybe he just switched up booking agencies...

anyhow - cannot wait to see what harvey has in store. i'm sure whatever it it, it'll be divine. and that rumour of dvs1 closing it out, is just the sweet, sweet cherry on top.

Berghain is expected to close for good at the end of this year if GEMA can actually raise their fees as they planned to. So you guys dont have to worry much about whether Prosumer will play again at Berghain, soon, Berghain will likely be no more: Berghain's existence threatened.

this is Gema, they collect fees from clubs and distribute them to the producers community. Gema is planning a tremendous increase in the fees charged from clubs, which will probably mean that in the future, clubs like Berghain will have to pay huge amounts (order of magnitude: ten times what they pay now). If you go to the homepage of Watergate, Berghain or Kater Holzig, you will notice a plea to help them because they could have to close if the Gema raise is implemented as planned.

How was Harvey in the main room?

An anecdote: A friend of mine and I had just come down from Prosumer's very emotional last set around ten, Berghain was packed and the crowd was going crazy. Harvey was spinning some kind of funky-yet-slamming 70's (?) tunes, and transitioned soon before the end of his set to techno. My friend summed it up perfectly-"he's burning the fucking house down."

P.S.: Anyone know that track he played near the end with the airy female vocal? Says something to the effect of "let me love." It's really famous, I just can't put my finger on it.

Motherf***** what a session! Queued up at around 12:30 and was greated by an unexpected and massively long line. Got a stamp and went back for a nap, and came for Tensnake (who unfortunately was a no-show).

Prosumer came on and absolutely smashed the place. Looking back on it now, it is hard to describe the atmosphere during his set with words, especially for the last hour of his set. I danced like I havent danced in ages. I spent about 30 minutes looking down on the crowd, and the entire place from front to back was jamming like it was their last night on earth. Berlin sure loves their Prosumer, and I can see why. This was my second time seeing him, and both times he has been nothing short of stellar. Very few DJs play proper house like him. I sure would like to know where he gets some of these records! Definitely looking forward to seeing him at Garden in a couple of weeks.

I was really looking forward to seeing DJ Harvey, but party in Berghain couldnt hold a candle to what was happening in Panorama Bar. I tried to give it a chance a number of times, but I just couldnt pull my self away from upstairs. The first bit of Harveys set was good, but for the rest of his set he didnt play what I wanted to hear from him. This was probably a result of him playing Berghain instead of Panorama Bar.

I came back at 8pm Sunday night and enjoyed hearing DVS-1 play his brand of earth-shattering techno. Gerd Jansen was pretty good, but played a bit darker and harder than I thought he would. The reason I came was for the Panorama Bar resident dreamteam b2b2b. Even though Steffi didnt play, I quite enjoyed hearing Tama Sumo and Prosumer play together. It was my first time seeing Tama Sumo play, and she just has a great energy and persona behind the decks. She exudes happiness and positivity, which goes very well with the kind of music she plays. I enjoyed most of their set, except for the very end which was getting a bit repetitive with big house anthems with vocals, but who am I to complain about a session such as that?

Also, I enjoyed seeing the contrast in atmosphere between the Saturday night/Sunday morning session and the Sunday night session. Sunday night seemed a bit more casual and family affair-like.

Thank you to the Panorma Bar crowd from a solo traveller who met quite a few friendly groups.

Looks like we missed a good one! Tiddlerz always a man of few words, but i guess if he says it was a serious session, it must have been quite something!!
Now only waiting for the usual 5 pages long review from Erwan ;)

I'll make it short this time.

A great sunday and a sad one.

Thank you Prosumer for all these great moments here in this club.

firstly , reading this thread makes me want to go back to berghain/panorama bar as soon as possible...what a place!!

hopefully the GEMA ruliong wont come into force, or a compromise can be found..but, i dont really get how GEMA decision would automatically mean the closure of berghain...looking at the price for this particular night it was 12 euros!!!..for a party that lasted 24hrs+...!!!
what would be the price point be if the GEMA ruling went through?
