Whoever is behind the project has a knack for summoning the aural equivalent of light, darkness and whatever lies in between. You may want to first head to the title track on the outer edge of the..

| #16 / Wed, 25 Apr 12 18:50 The voices in Indirect Light sound so familiar... but its original material. As is the video. French techno never died, it was just hiding... You should also check out the new Construct Reform release with Voiski, same family! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfT0-SxwNDo

| #20 / Thu, 26 Apr 12 11:18 This a brilliant, brilliant release, on a label that is starting to look like a serious contender. DSCRD´s EP from last year was extremely good too.
Nice review and Sole Star is my fav also, it´s an all-engulfing beast of a track.

| #23 / Sat, 28 Apr 12 14:10 (Edited: 28 Apr 12 14:36) I'll go as far as calling this EP of the year so far. It's dark, it's fresh, it's mysterious, it sends a message. It's simply perfect.
"I was a somewhat naive research assistant when the project began Hailing blood samples, comparing classified EMG scans, even making coffee First time I saw those boys....that I do remember quite well. Most of these tests can only be carried out while the subject is in a deep sleep But the boys had a hard time reaching the R.E.M stage due to the high anxieties
One of my duties became injecting them with neuroleptics just to get them to calm down so we could get a proper reading To see what they could see Once, while I was preparing their doses, one of them turned to me and asked: "You like what you're doing here?"and the other one responded for me: "Of course he doesn't"
Casual conversation wasn't exactly encouraged at the facility, but I began to make contact with the boys And I know they weren't very happy to be there Whereas once they had regulary explored every extremity of their senses In a profoundly intense and outerwordly dream state Ever since our machine started dredging through their thought patterns That playing field had completely deteliorated In fact, you had to generate it into a horrific prison of suffocating nightmares and aggitation that filled these drug induced slumber
I witnessed the power they'd harnested The very reasons why'd been confined there, but somehow, I became a part of their journey Decided to was my hands of that filthy job and take them with me And I helped them escape the lab, the experiments And from the I learned a hell of a lot about the Polar Children Their instruction led me to abandon the life that I will never look back on
They saved me
Just like they'll save the others..and all of you It's under a shadow of obscurity that humans grow, through pain, in times of doubt, their greatness relvealed When if magnificent and shining, humans lose sight By the fall of night it's true nature manifests, when all is stripped down to its raw essence
We will bring about the ultimate obscurity. We will present this indirect light.
Those were the words of the Polar Children as we began our journey"

I don't know why, but I'm still struggling to accept this. Was the vocalist trying to sound like a particular American actor (I still can't quite place who exactly and it's killing me) or is that just his natural voice and cadence? Either way, he did an amazing job. Anyway, I've been listening to this EP for a while now and I've gotta say I severely underrated it by merely calling it "good". This is great. With this and the equally excellent, yet quite different, DSCRD EP, Dement3d is now one of my favourite young labels.
