| #0 / Wed, 25 Apr 12 15:52 maybe you've noticed the vibe slipping at Berghain/Panoramabar over the last few years. I used to find the crowd absolutely electric, but lately people seem such shuffling zombies, and lots of times there's just no line at all anymore. The music is still a thrill, but that's not enough.
if you need any evidence that it's over, they just fired Shambhu, the wildthing bartender of Gitter Bar, the little caged bar back by the toilets in PBar. Sure she can be rough on people when they are out of line, but that is one tough fucking job, and she put up with a TON of shit, and hustled twice as fast as any other bartender. She was one of the most charismatic people in the place, by very far, and it's certainly a big loss to the vibe there that she's gone.
yeah yeah, I hear so much about how Berlin is the nightlife capital of the world, but do you really meet many freaks here? very few parties here feature anything but bland wallpaper techno, such fluff. This place is getting beige.
so, where we gonna move? Berlin isn't going to last forever.

| #1 / Thu, 26 Apr 12 23:09 (Edited: 26 Apr 12 23:20) What did you expect ? In times of the internet, secrets are spread very fast and tourists start to occupy the place. No bouncer in the world is able to tell apart the freaks from those who only consume the vibe with a 100% precision. Once it was Tresor, now it is Berghain, nature runs its course. But I am sure there are still a lot of great parties at Berghain, with few tourists and drug abusers and a lot of true party people. I wish clubs would be smart enough to single out those who really fill the place with atmosphere and get these people club cards or anything, because the way the admission procedure at Berghain works, too often I hear about cool people, long time electronic music lovers, who are rejected while complete tourist morons - who just go to Berghain to complete their facebook profile - are let in.

| #2 / Fri, 27 Apr 12 01:12 Reading the above posts is making me feel nothing short of despressed, I've been turned away 5 times from the door, always by myself, but lets not get into that, being 20, i think im still too young looking in fairness! but being honest I am obsessed with the music/atmosphere/experience that is attached to , and experienced in this club, and the thought of missing out on it altogether actually makes me feel ill! I've 2 trips booked for over the summer, so fingers crossed, you might think an era is ending and it may well be, but hell, you are extremely fortunate! coming onto RA on a tuesday afternoon and reading reports from the weekend gone by really makes my day, as well as heightening my jealousy!

| #4 / Sat, 28 Apr 12 23:46 The good vibes are fewer and farther between. For me, the biggest issue isn't the makeup of the crowd (I'm more interested in the music than people-watching), but rather just how packed the place has become lately. Word to the wise: avoid the mega-events and go for the ordinary times when the tried-and-true residents are playing.
