| #7 / Mon, 07 May 12 02:14 Album #2 already? Jesus christ slow down! Also nice to see that Rødhåd is finally releasing some original material, he's been a good dj for a while now. And that whole SHXajfsniasgsipo EP is just brutal.

| #8 / Mon, 07 May 12 02:34 agree w/ Larvi....I think he should focus more on his EP's, they seem to be a bit more heavy then his Album tracks.

| #24 / Mon, 07 May 12 11:30 Just finished listening. An excellent techno mix with a proper build-up. First minutes are spent reeling you in to the type of atmosphere that the mix will predominantly have, with the beat slowly coming in, then you get a good mix of machine funkiness with some more mental stuff, until the payoff in the last 10-15 minutes.
I see how some people mind find it a bit rough and dry, there´s not much in the way of melodies and "warm" basslines, but to my taste, this is how you get a techno mix done.

| #25 / Mon, 07 May 12 11:57 'I'm also starting a project with another producer and friend that will involve guitar and vocal elements'. Let me guess what this project will sound like... derivative shoegazey drone music including indistinguishable reverb laden vocals accompanied by some boutique guitar pedal experimentation that sounds like a millions other bands. We already have Tropic Of Cancer to listen to if we want boring watered down music made by a dance producer.

| #30 / Mon, 07 May 12 13:07 The build-up in the first 10 minutes is ridiculous. And the 11-min mark when everything but the beat drops out...mmm. These are exactly the types of sounds I've been seeking out an craving lately. A lot of proper "techno" podcasts have left me disappointed, but this is the shit. Wonderful way to start my week. Thanks, Shifted! I'm sure this will be getting some serious headphone time.

True, maybe he didn´t have to mention it, maybe he got defensive because nowadays people are quick to dismiss valid artists based on one hundred things beyond music, under a fundamentalist stance that is really not that dissimilar to what you´ll in religious discussions. I dunno man, I still remember that one of my favorite RA podcasts ever was the Anders Ilar one, and he did that in FL Studio, ffs... I try to evaluate podcasts in a different way than I would evaluate a live performance, that´s all. It´s just a baffling recurring discussion on here.

Strongly disagree with that statement, Prurient makes me want to put on my hockey mask and scare little kids and their mothers. Next to eating candy, it's my favorite thing to do.

+1. I can only listen to bits of Prurient for my own sanity but have much respect for anyone with the balls to start a mix with it

However, there are many tracks on his label that are more melodic and easy on the ears. I think the track Shifted chose set the mood of the mix quite nicely.
