Mark Pritchard's "?" is a beautiful track.

| #5 / Fri, 08 Jun 12 22:51 Quite partial to the odd Oneman set if I'm in the mood for some no-frills party fun, but he's going to have to try a lot harder than that tracklisting for the vibe to properly translate from the dancefloor to a one-hour mix CD.

| #7 / Sun, 10 Jun 12 06:27 I reckon Fabric couldn't get any of the licenses for hip-hop tunes, hence the tracklist that we see here.

| #15 / Mon, 13 Aug 12 20:54 This mix is one of the best I've heard for a while, used to love a lot of the UK Garage sound many years ago but never really had any connection with the scene that went with it. More of this sound please ... ace mix.

 | RA Review I tend to think of Oneman as part of an imaginary UK trifecta along with Ben UFO and Jackmaster. All three are "purely" DJs, with no productions to their names to help boost their reputations, they're all regulars on London former pirate station Rinse FM and they're all at the forefront of undergrou..

| #20 / Tue, 14 Aug 12 15:16 There's always at least two people in every Fabric and Fabriclive thread saying its the best in the series.
If people are still fussing about this in a year's time, then you know it's actually good.
Btw, how come there was no RA review for Fabriclive 63?

| #29 / Wed, 15 Aug 12 12:47 The former could likely be put down to licensing issues; I'm going to wager that a mainstream rap track costs a little more than a Hessle Audio release.
You're right, it does cost more - but that doesn't have anything to do with the absence of hip-hop on the album. Philip Sherburne's interview with Oneman spells out the concept: Hi, let's start with your new Fabric mix. What did you want to do with it? I wanted it to be the representation of a typical thing that I would have done at Fabric over the last four years. That's the approach I went for, rather than going down the avenue of a typical Rinse set that I'd do, or a Boiler Room show. I wanted to distance the Fabric style I do from everything else. [...] My Rinse show is a Sunday night, at the end of a weekend, so it's more of a chill-out session for me — ost of the time. I do get into a bit of a harder thing on Rinse, as well, but I kind of treat that as my laid-back dance-music show. My Boiler Room showcases are more hip hop mixed with house, mixed with grime and dubstep. And a Fabric set would be more house and garage, a little bit of 140 [BPM] stuff at the end. That would be a typical club set for me in the U.K., and across Europe and at festivals. The Fabric CD would be a general sort of representation of what you'd probably see out at a club, rather than on the radio or at Boiler Room.
Hope that clarifies.

Yeah, I don't even think RA reviewed it. That Workin & Steamin song on there by Harkin & Raney is so good! The mix tends to get a nervous feel towards the end but, it's a solid mix for me. At least a 4.5.

| #32 / Sat, 18 Aug 12 05:32 Agree that Brodinski's FabricLive mix was extremely underrated.
As for Oneman's, it was ok, but I can't see myself going back to it again and again. For the record, my personal top 10 FL's would be:
1) Jacques LuCont – “FabricLive 09” 2) David Rodigan – “FabricLive 54” 3) Diplo – “FabricLive 24” 4) DJ Format – “FabricLive 27” 5) Brodinski – “FabricLive 60” 6) DJ Spinbad – “FabricLive 14” 7) Aim – “FabricLive 17” 8) Pearson Sound/ Ramadaman – “FabricLive 56” 9) A-Trak – “FabricLive 45” 10) Bugz In The Attic – “FabricLive 12”

| #33 / Sun, 19 Aug 12 21:53 (Edited: 20 Aug 12 01:17) The hell are you smoking? Diplo's was downright terrible. You couldn't make a worse mix if you tried. It mixes tracks like Cybotron - Clear into popular rap like Bombs over bagdhad and ludacris. Then it throws in some spanish loco house and it's all over the place and it just includes hits. Way too many pop hits to be credible...
A-Trak's was not quite as bad but certainly not top 10 worthy.
No Four Tet in your list?
I suspect you're a hip-hop lover in which case I thought DJ Spinbad's was amazing. However, I'm not into that mainstream rap stuff so I can't stand Diplo's and A-Trak's
Many of the FabricLive mixes are popular-appeal mixes but you can do it so much more skillfully. Try Digital Soundboy Soundsystem's - I don't like reggae at all but I was blown away by the great flow and transitions in the mix, and the progression of styles. Really top notch

| #35 / Sun, 07 Oct 12 05:10 There are a lot of very average bass music mixes (Rinse, Dubstep Allstars, Fabriclive all pump up out more than a few). This is one of them.
Ellipsis is a peak? A peak of what? Ellipsis is hardly energetic, it's laid back. if that's your peak, that's a really boring mix
Bunch of random garage, dubstep, house, tracks. Where's the unique part of this mix? where's the party vibes? Seriously ending the mix with Burial?
Four Tet's and Jackmaster's were much much better mixes
