agree with this, cocoon events are generally always more expensive though regardless of the lineup. A lot of money is spent on production for cocoon events in fairness

I wouldn't take what Grandpa Sven says as gospel - the guys memory isn't what it used to be. He could be playing you!

Saying that, I'd be quite disappointed if it is at GSS - this was supposed to be a huge production if LPG was the original site for it - which might have warranted the price. GSS doesn't really fill the same description.

Yeah why the hell are tickets for most London events at least 20 quid plus booking fee these days? And that's normally way in advance! Yet in berlin you won't pay more than 14 euros! We are starting to get ripped off I'm afraid, as for 40 quid for this- do me a favour!

Can anyone firm up the venue as we're waiting over two months to book a hotel close to the party.. alternatively, will take a refund on the tickets or sell them for £40 in total ( two tickets ).

venue will be announced officially on Monday. This venue is 100% confirmed and secure, there is no need to worry at all.

why not just announce it now then?

Just need to get the announcement signed off by the powers that be and then we are good to go.

We're happy to announce that the venue for the forthcoming Cocoon Heroes show will be Great Suffolk Street Warehouse, London. Since the demise of London Pleasure Gardens we've spent a great deal of time looking at every available venue option to try and ensure that we gave you what we promised. We've visited over 40 different spaces in the last 3 months and found 1 space we loved... but after a lot of work and meetings with the council we couldn't secure a license. There are very few spaces in London with the right capacity, they're either not actually in London or came with restrictions on sound levels and operating hours; these are things that we just won't compromise on. We do understand it's not quite the setting we promised, but we'd rather reduce the capacity to guarantee a great venue which ensures the quality of the event.

So it's a space you know and love and to put it simply we'll bring a level of production and a show the like of which has never been seen before in those cavernous arches. We'll be working closely with the Cocoon production team to bring you the full Heroes experience so you, Cocoon and LWE can step into the magic together…

We're excited by the show we have planned and are working hard to bring you the biggest and best possible. Yes what did happen to the massive headline announcements?? These have been replaced with a few more support acts!

When this was announced I was really excited and booked my tickets early - now I see its just another party at Great Suffolk St.....

Disappointing!

It is no much of a surprise that it is Great Suffolk Street since LWE just pulled off Drumcode Halloween over the weekend.

Drumcode was a pretty decent party ... easy to get inside on the night, easy access to bar and toilets and great line up.

The set up was a function one sound system that sounded decent inside the arches too but not the best sound system in London.

There could have been a lot worse venue’s to choose from.

tad disapointed, another headline act wud be nice, but its wat we expected and at least its confirmed now, A raves a rave...

i know its not what was promised but we have tried our best. Its still a very strong lineup for the price and we will be going above beyond when it comes to production etc.

With the event having to scale back massively in size, even at the current price there is no more budget to deliver additional headline guests.

i hope you can all understand and join us for what will be a very memorable party.

Like we said its not as if this has been some massive fraud, LPG going bust put a spanner in the works for a whole host of events. Unfortunately when the capacity goes down by 50% its no longer possible to have additional guests unless you want us to charge £50 per tickets.

Bit gutted to be fair. Blew out the cocoon party at the warehouse project and a few others as I thought this would be the rave not to miss. Line up is still epic but could of been improved. As with circoloco earlier in the summer, it would of been better to just come out and tell us the problems so people wouldn't feel left in the dark slightly. Still tho, every cocoon rave I've been to has never let me down yet so here's hoping nothing changes.

Very dissapointed in the venue announcement and the fact no more headliners are being added was expecting something of a festival size party as they have been stating over the last few months now it has turned in to a standard night in Suffolk street with a decent line up, wich i am
 not to fussed about it because I love suffolk street But was expecting bigger and better from LWE .

Please, please, please can you program the event so there are no clashes with the headliners. Im assuming all three arches be open? Not bothered about the production but can we get some good London based DJ's to support this.

Its a class venue, have been a few times including Krankbrothers on Friday, sound great, good bar and toilet facilties and an epic setting, I travel up from the South, you guys in London are lucky to have so many great promoters, line ups and venues like this, quit the moans!

im a bit disapointed as anyone as we booked to come over from ire for this but ppl should give the promoters a break LPG going bust was out of their hands. This will still be quality.

How is it much nicer ? I take it you havent been to or enjoyed a 'massive' event? U must be the type tht stands outside the toilet chatting all night... It's not very often London gets a techno event on the scale that cocoon was originally planed for.

Massive event – hmmm- I have been once /SW/ -and my main impressions : mud everywhere, poor sound system and an atmosphere of The Octoberfest all around /what is rather nice but maybe not at a techno party/. Anyway it was great sensu lato but I don’t want to take part in it again! Clubbing needs some intimacy I dare to think.
And I beg your pardon dear Mr Russell but I’m obliged to add: I didn’t stand outside the toilet on my only techno ’massive event’ - I couldn’t even find it! Answer yourself if it was an advantage.
