| #0 / Wed, 11 Jan 06 00:31 For some DJs, the start of the year is a time to get new ideas down in the studio, for others it's a chance to take a break from the international touring circuit and soak up some rays in the Southern Hemisphere. However, for Kings of Tomorrow star, Sandy Rivera, the beginning of 2006 sees the launch of a new mid-week night at London’s Cosmo bar.
Come every third Wednesday of the month, Sandy will spin all night long at a new low key but quality get-together called Blackwiz, the same name as his New York-based record label. Sandy hopes the night at Cosmo will give him a chance to explore the deeper, techier side of his record collection in a more intimate setting.
The first Blackwiz event on Wednesday January 18th includes guest DJs Andy Daniel and Stuart Watson and also coincides with Sandy's birthday so be sure to come down and help him blow out his candles at Cosmo.
The latest Kings of Tomorrow single "6pm" is out now on Defected Records; Sandy's classy Original Mix proving to be the hit with RA's review team.
