| #12 / Fri, 22 Jun 12 16:36 It was a total honor to warm up a room for Mr Bortz on a warm Sunday afternoon in Chicago atop the beautiful Dana Hotel. The gig was just a week after Detroit's Movement Festival so we weren't too certain that this party would hit the mark, but lo and behold Bortz drew an amazing crowd! It became clear that Daniel's sound is deeply rooted in soul / motown; the perfect vibe for a Sunday soiree. The venue was so impressed by the level of energy that Daniel drew out of the crowd, that they let him keep playing 3 hours past our scheduled end time and when a party of Oncologists (who had reserved the space for a meeting) arrived, they were relegated to the patio while we all continued throwing down on the floor w/ Bortz He was laid back, confident and very clearly talented. We will definitely be looking forward to his next visit to the States. **A big, huge thank you to Maryrose at MiM Chicago for facilitating this amazing event!

| #16 / Tue, 28 Aug 12 15:00 big fan of bortz, but the comments on remixing are a bit strong, if not hypocritical. i only found out about him after hearing the losoul mix of one of his tracks, and i only bought the leavin' me EP on get physical because of bortz's remix.
