| #9 / Sun, 24 Jun 12 14:03 at the time dumb unit was approaching my radar I was searching for something new. was getting bored with the sounds coming out at the time and all of the run of the mill shit. This label obviously was one of the outlets blowing things wide open for the next wave of producers. blowing their trumpet loud and leading the pack into the dark territories of the northlands. I always felt like this label although having a tongue in cheek aesthetic (looking in from the outside) was deadly serious and that JPC's motivation and inspiration for this music was not for the most part as a result of good things happening in the world. A fairly dark highly technological dystopia is the impetus for a music like his and a label like this. What were you communicating to us JPC? I know the sounds coming from the label broadened and yes there were horns and dance numbers but please let us know what the core message dumb unit was disseminating (from your perspective). that is all.
