ABOUT THE RELEASE

Instead of us talking about the release, this time we decided to let the author say a few words about this wonderful album himself. And we have to admit, we have nothing to add.

"Like many of you I’m sure, I’ve often found myself staring up at the night sky with captivation and curiosity. Pondering this seemingly endless place of undiscovered worlds, the prospect of exploration within and ultimately, its effects on our own humanity and consciousness. One of the most fascinating aspects of the universe for me is the co-existence of opposites. Extreme temperatures at both ends of the scale, fantastic light in never-ending darkness, and such violence and destruction alongside constant rebirth and remarkable beauty.

This EP is my interpretation of these ideas: exploration, discovery, humanity, consciousness and beauty represented by darkness and light, analogue and digital, man and machine, order and chaos. Expect to hear ambient soundscapes, sci-fi textures, mechanical beats, haunting synths and organic melodies, all delicately crafted into 30 minutes of futuristic electronica."

- Mark Allsworth

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mark was born in 1983 and grew up in Chippenham, a small market town in South West England. After receiving his first keyboard at age 7 and being taught piano by his mum from this early age, he soon developed a love for the electronic music the early 90’s had to offer – a love that continued throughout his adolescence and to this day. After learning to play guitar during his late teens and buying his first computer, he began to learn the art of composing music whilst working his way through university.

After graduating in 2006, he began to blend his love of 90’s dance, cinematic scores and breakbeat into his own sound and started making music under the name Duane Barry. With over 40 productions on over 25 record labels worldwide, both his original tracks and remixes were renowned for their intricate layers of pads and strings, deep bass, swirling melodies and broken beats. As a DJ, he delivered interviews/guest spots on various radio stations around the world including Kiss FM, Radio 1 and Frisky Radio. He also hosted the successful breaks show/podcast "Cosmic Refractions" on DanceRadioGlobal/iTunes. It was also around this time he became the owner and operator of Breakspoll- nominated label Digital Sensation UK - a label focused on showcasing the very best in progressive and futuristic breaks.

Recently, he has been developing his love for film/cinematic and ambient downtempo music by remixing under the name Innuendo for more commercial, bass driven tracks. Finally after years of developing a personal sound, he is excited to be recording under his own name for more conceptual and cutting edge atmospheric electronica.
