| #0 / Sun, 05 Feb 06 08:01 With two of Liverpool's leading nights, Alcatraz and Aztec joining forces, Wednesday night looks set to become the new Friday night in 'The Pool'.
Mid-week parties seem to be the new craze around Liverpool (if not the whole of the UK) and from March onwards, promoters Alcatraz and Aztec will begin joining in on the fun with the announcement of an additional Alcatraz & Aztec party on Wednesday nights.
The first joint event to be held on a Wednesday will take place on March 8th featuring two of the UK's biggest techno acts, Ben Sims and Surgeon with support from Alcatraz resident and promoter, Bill Heckle and Aztec resident, Stu Bradley.
Originally organised to take place at The Lemon Lounge, the birth place for such nights as Chibuku Shake Shake and Circus, due to the overwhelming response to the initial party announcement, the event has been moved to the legendary home of music in Liverpool, The Cavern Club on Matthew Street. In addition to having a larger capacity, the promoters hope the new venue will also give the DJs more creative freedom since there will be additional space for extra equipment and a more superior sound system!
Alcatraz & Aztec on Wednesday, March 8th will be a unique opportunity to see two great techno acts in intimate surroundings so mark it in your diary and perhaps start thinking about getting the next day off work!

| #6 / Thu, 09 Feb 06 15:29 There are a couple of mistakes in that Surgeon biography on the  DJ pages. Maybe you can edit them, Nik. His first release was in '95, not '91. And his debut LP was "Communications" on the Downwards label. "Basic Tonal Vocabulary" on Tresor came after that.
