| #2 / Thu, 09 Aug 12 14:30 The press release claims that because he was the 1st artist to release on Prologue and, if I´m not mistaken, it was Tom´s wish to put out Dino´s track "No More" that led him to start the label.
Very excited for this!

That is an incredible song to be fair; think I heard it first on Gigli's ssgs mix about 3-4 years ago and it blew me away. Cannot wait for this album!

| #14 / Sat, 08 Sep 12 15:36 Just got sent a promo copy, and it's fantastic.
A departure from the usual abrasive-tinged techno sound he's more known for (though never to the point where it would stand in the industrial techno catagory), but instead a more mature and exploratory release, underpinned by thoughtful and creative percussion compared wiith the well-trodden ground of the obligatory four-to-the-floor.
I'm looking forward to giving my beloved HD600s some time to fully appreciate the fine details present throughout.

Very wrong sir, very wrong, where the hell did you read that? Tribal art is at the very foundations of art, Pablo Picasso spent many years studying and reproducing it in his painting and sculpture.

| #20 / Wed, 03 Oct 12 17:49 You misunderstood, it didin't say there isn't 'tribal' art, nor that 'tribal' influences don't permeate art, just that as a descriptor 'tribal' has lost its full meaning.
The term been co-opted and cheapened, basically.

 | RA Review The image of the shaman is intrinsic to dance music, and we don't just mean Mr. C and co. pretending to be Dickensian drug dealers on "Ebeneezer Goode." But while you don't need a PhD in anthropology to identify the links between ancient tribal dances and the communal celebration of the modern club,..

| #26 / Mon, 15 Oct 12 10:43 Like most reviews and rating systems; Ultimately pointless. The lovers will love it and the haters hate. I'm in the former camp and very much recommend anyone with open ears, head over to Prologue's Bandcamp page and check this out for themselves. Yes, it's an album you need to really listen to and let envelope you, but it's worth it and it will go the distance. Brilliant release, amazing sound design and beautifully sequenced. Bravo Dino. It has been worth the wait.

| #27 / Mon, 15 Oct 12 12:12 I couldn't agree with you more SRDIC. It's an amazing album which was released on an outstanding Prologue label. You must, however, appreciate darker flavors of techno in order to fully appreciate it. I happen to love it ! Excellent release by Dino!

 |
| #35 / Mon, 15 Oct 12 21:35 I've just had a listen to this on Prologue's site and it sounds amazing, reckon this is a straight four for me.
Its a bit like Voices From the Lake, but darker and more substantial. I can hear some real tribal rhythms swarming about in the depths when I listen to this too; little flavours of Skull Disco era Shackleton.
Its a bit austere, but then it is Prologue and on the plus you can really lose yourself in the depths of it. You can hear that the level of detail and sound design is amazing, and I've only streamed it.

| #36 / Tue, 16 Oct 12 02:33 I can't stop listening to Dino Sabatini's Shaman's Path - I'm placing this release in my top 10 albums of 2012 - if the RA review suggests this album is a trip to the Heart Of Darkness, I will follow Dino Sabatini to the end!

| #40 / Tue, 16 Oct 12 21:00 good, but not great. masterpieces? no way. there have been literally a million so-called "masterpieces" according to people here that 3 years later everybody has forgotten about. if people are still going to be talking about this one in 3 years then its a masterpiece.

| #47 / Tue, 20 Nov 12 07:07 Yeah ^^ you kinda hit it on the button. The guy clearly has talent, he just doesn't know what to do with it. This is a clone of the countless tribal/dub techno albums released over the past 5 years. Nothing original. Extremely forgettable

| #48 / Fri, 30 Nov 12 04:57 well, i don't hear any dub techno at all in this. but i can understand that some, especially those not very enthusiastic about this sort of techno, would consider this cliched and overdone, because it has been overdone. but not here. to me dino has always had his own precise sound. it's not perfect, it's certainly not for everyone, and i'm definitely not calling anything a masterpiece yet, but i think those of us who've followed his music for a little while will be pretty happy with this album.

| #49 / Fri, 30 Nov 12 08:58 I actually love this kind of techno. It's just that the bar has been raised because it's been done already. No longer can you get by with average music.
I look forward to RA's (and other publications) top albums of the year list. That really brings out the critical juices because no longer can you liberally give out 4/5 ratings (or 3.5 in this case, a rating I felt was appropriate). Some albums are going to simply be better than others. With a ton of techno albums released this year, it will be interesting to see what the reviewers (and public) think were true masterpieces and what was just a bunch of hype.

I agree. Most albums that receive those high scoring reviews saying something like "going to be one of the albums of the year" in February are usually forgotten by October. Few are genuinely timeless masterpieces you'd want to return to. Very few at all.
