 | RA Review Redshape is someone who excels in both the long-player and single format. The last two years have seen him focus on the latter, stepping out of album mode to craft raw and rugged rhythms for 3024, his own Present label and Gerd Janson's Running Back. As was the case with 2009's The Dance Paradox ,..

| #33 / Tue, 06 Nov 12 22:25 I find this albom very powerful, to me redshape is progressing very strongly as an artist, this album builds on what was great about dance paradox - dark rich texture, versatility, quality of production - but takes all this to another level. I think this is a piece of very serious electronic music - well done!

| #34 / Wed, 07 Nov 12 08:42 Really enjoyed the 'Dance Paradox', this guy is quality all the way and puts on a mean live set as well. Looking forward to spinning this album, it sounds intriguing.

| #36 / Tue, 13 Nov 12 08:50 This album is just pretentious crap! Dance paradox was razor sharp and filled with excellent memorable tracks, and this one is just dull and shallow! Seriously, there's just one memorable track near the end, everything else is just some boring filler that's mish mashed over it's running time without any sense of place or cohesion. I believe that rating should be around 2-2.5.

| #37 / Fri, 16 Nov 12 17:45 "Pretentious crap" vs "powerful ... serious electronic music." When an album evokes this kind of "hate-it / love-it" reaction, I'd say it's probably doing something right. After repeat listens, I think it's a solid "Dance Paradox" follow-up.

| #38 / Sat, 01 Dec 12 06:44 I think Redshape has done more than just "change the conversation." His music flows more freely than before - the tracks sound less tracky and loopy. Like a fighter that is warming up and starting to flow their combinations. It's more dynamic and I absolutely freaking love it. Also, his bass is now FAT AS FUCK. I don't speak sound engineering but something special is happening on the low end here.
If you can't wrap your head around this you need better speakers and better weed.
Just my .02

Brilliant album. As strong as Dance Paradox, if not more so in many ways.

| #40 / Fri, 04 Jan 13 23:41 I actually prefer this to DP. More breadth to it, it's rich & atmospheric, unhurried - and just a damned fine release. Sure, may not appeal to all 4/4 heads, but def worth checking out. Love it.
