Toi Toi's most recent newsletter has some interesting insights into the state of the London warehouse party scene, saying that such spaces can cost promoters as much as £5k for a single evening. (Scroll for the post.)
People got to stop being willing to pay ridiculous prices to rave in a dirty warehouse. Only we can make these prices go down by not paying for em, promoters cant afford to pay for the warehouses as no one will buy tickets, warehouse leasers make no money. Everything goes down. Demand and supply. Economics As long as peeps are willing to pay 25 quid to rave in a warehouse things will stay the same.
Word. Can't walk 3 blocks in East London without seeing posters proclaiming another warehouse party. Completely disconnected with what that word use to encapsulate and frankly, just boring.
