For fans of: Orbital, 808 State, Aphex Twin, Josh Wink
ABOUT THE RELEASE
We are still overwhelmed by the success of The Struggle Of Distance, which was released last month and reached Number One on the Leftfield and Downtempo charts on the first day of its release, but Little Birds is not someone to rest on his laurels. He has a brand new EP already and as you may guessed it comes with another sharp genre turn. On the Black Acid EP, Adrian has revisited the 80's acid aesthetic, only he combined it with healthy funk breaks and some few other secret ingredients. It looks like he may have come up with a brand new subgenre of electronic music, which could easily start to be recognised as acid funk.
The title track sets the template, creating a spy movie atmosphere with an acid twist. Two Sisters keeps the acid elements alive, only this time it digs deeper in music history for some disco inspiration. Now I Am Become Death, probably the most intriguing song on the EP, is inspired by the famous Robert Oppenheimer speech about the birth of the atom bomb. And Molech is concluding the acid voyage with a wall of 303s, strings and some mind-boggling sub bass action.
Little Birds once again confirms that he is a master of sonic disguise. He may have taken a new musical direction, but his defining elements - edginess, soul and thirst for experimentation - are still very present.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Little Birds aka Adrian Lendon comes from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom and is one of the most inventive producers aiming towards the open-minded audience. It’s hard not to be impressed by the original sound and the ability to work within many familiar genres, yet still maintaining a unique recognizable approach. He surprised the public with remixes of a few Nine Inch Nails tunes and that drew the attention of several labels asking to release his material.
Little Birds’ music is a brave mixture of drum’n’bass, breakbeat, electro and all points in between and outside those genres. He creates dark cinematic atmospheres to move the soul.
