If you have the $$$ or £££ you will fly to Ibiza for NYD at DC10 for what is the first ever pre announced DC-10 line up and not a bad one either.

If you can't afford to fly to Ibiza but you love Monday's at DC-10 and Circo Loco then you will pay a little more £££ to go to Brixton Academy for Circo Loco ... ok, it is expensive but drinks at Brixton are reasonable and it does had good toilets and Circo Loco is a promoter to be trusted when they say they will bring the level dance floor and a proper sound system.

Now, if you are a DC-10 Thursdays, Paradise, Jamie Jones, Towie, Shuffler Dancing Queen then you will need to head over to Pulse on NYD. Good news is that Pulse is close to Waterloo Train station for all the out of Londoners. The ticket price is cheaper than Brixton Academy but be warned Pulse is a mockery to compare to what Matter was since it only had three cubicles for the boys toilet and a Magners costs 5 quid! But at least all Jamie Jones Nu Disco freaks will be in one place on NYD.

If you don't know or even care about DC-10 means then you are probaly going to do to either NoFitState or Hydra in London. Both are TBA venues in typicial London TBA 2012 fashion. To be fair NoFitState seems to have an awesome line up but can they deliver the venue? The good thing about the TBA parties compared to the head to head Circo Loco vs Paradise parties is that the TBA parties start at 6pm while the DC-10 rivals start at 9pm ... hardly a NY Day party is it?

The wild card for 2013 NYD for all these massive parties ongoing is going to be the NYD Jan 02 after party ... who out of the whole group will book the MS Stubntiz which does seem to have an insanely nice sound system even though it is an absolute bitch to reach in the cold depth of a London winter.

Great Suffolk Street Warehouse is a reliable venue, well known for wicked nights, great sound and superb organisation. Guys, surly it's all about the music?!? I have no idea where this venue is or what it's like, but a dirty dungeon sounds like its right up my street! As long as there's no long queues to get in or problems with the cloakroom... In happy xx

Hi, long time lurker - first time poster.

Netil House was a great venue for NYD last year - and it elevated the quality of the event. Though we've all been doing Great Suffolk Street warehouse for long enough to know that it's a barely functional big warehouse, and a terrible venue for clubbing.

Has there ever been an event - ever, ever - that has 'gone off' at Great Suffolk Street warehouse? My experience having gone numerous times over the past three years (and the collective feedback on here at RA) - is that it's too packed and grimy, everyone gets pissed off with each other - massive queues for cloakroom, toilets and bar, and then attempting to try and find your mates through the massive crowds in the freezing arches - and repeat, it's too big to have any atmosphere and too grim to ever really enjoy yourself - especially in the winter months.

I didn't buy a ticket just to have a whinge - was looking forward to this being knocked out of the park, especially after last year. I'm just commenting on the obvious problems of the venue - which we're all more than aware of, let's hold our hands up and be ultra-transparent about it.

Yes, I'll probably see Ame in a warehouse - I've got my ticket, but it's not just about that is it? it's about the experience as a whole - Pissing in a flooded porto-potty in the dead of winter, shit and puke floating around your feet, muttering 'fuck' under your breath as you're faced with the grim prospect of the 'elbow' and 'push' journey through the arches to find your mates, holding a warm bottle of beer that cost £4.50 after paying £4 to put your coat and jumper in, and trying to tell yourself to enjoy it, let's try and get through it - it's NYD, even though you know deep down that it's really not great.

I know you're probably thinking 'fucking ungrateful punter - what are they complaining about now? Basic insulation and facilities?! - fuck them, next they'll be asking for toilet paper - I'm telling you mate, give them and inch and they'll ask for a mile', though if you're doing anything to negate the common complaints of the venue, I'm all ears.

Just don't do the standard 'blame the venue manager and we're taking all feedback on board' response, it's shoddy, just like these undisclosed warehouse locations - it really feels like the rug has been pulled from under us at the last minute.

Trebor... You've really dampened my appetite now! This event is the last on my list for my new year visit to London... I've done warehouse parties many times before and always had an amazing time! I love the dirtiness of them, but the thought of overflowing toilets and long cloakroom queues really dosnt do it for me at all. By the time I get to this I'm going to be in nofitstate!!! Although on the other hand by this point I prob won't care about the piss filled loos etc. for me as long as everyone is on the same wavelength and enjoying the sounds then that's surely what will make it. I had a bad experience at mulletover in November with the issues with the cloakroom and as long as I get my coat timeously at the end of the night it's all good. As I've said I've never been to this venue before or indeed have any idea how to get there, so prob not the best person to comment on it! I guess the high heels will be getting left behind after round 1! Xxx

amazing venue, amazing sound and lights, awesome party!

Great venue choice for NFS, Great Suffolk did deliver for both Drumcode and Cocoon nights in the past few months ... good entry, easy to get drinks and alot of toilets. The only challenge is to get to the front of the 1st arch if the 2nd arch is not that popular.

NFS has 8 set times to fill (we hope) in 2 arches over 12 hours, there is going to be some decent set times played by some greats like Ame, Tale of Us and Maxxi Soundsystem.

Set times please because being NYD we want to be at the front from 6pm.

Saw V quest there last year and easily had best night of 2011 in there. Tale of Us will smash it I'm sure......

Hated Great Suffolk Street when it was first being used for parties but they've been running parties there for so long now that for me most of the problems have been straightened out. Cocoon in March absolutely smashed it, great party, great atmosphere, no venue complaints.
