Presume ICAN studios? As is where the majority of past events were.

Can ICAN function as a three room venue?

I've never been there, but only ever seen two rooms listed

Looks like it's Peckham Palais if this link is legit, someone posted another link on the border community party page suggesting that too. www.list.co.uk/place/20021088-peckham-palais/

Is Peckham palais big enough?

When will the actual venue be announced rather than everyone guessing?

Venue Announcement

We are very pleased to announce that we will be seeing in the New Year in Peckham. Both our NYE & NYD parties will be at Peckham Palais. Spread over three different floors we feel that it is the perfect place to welcome in 2013. As usual Sound Services will once again be providing the sound so you can expect the same quality as all the previous Hydra events.

Venue address:
Peckham Palais
1 Rye Lane
Peckham
SE15 5EW

Nearest station is Peckham Rye. This has now been connected to the over ground, which means that for all you east London lot you can get a direct train. Trains run every 15 mins starting in either Highbury & Islington or Clapham Junction.

We advise checking the TLF website for updated train times over the New Year period:

www.tfl.gov.uk/
There will be a cab service outside the venue at the end of the night.

A few things to remember ahead of the NYE & NYD:

We will be using the RA Bar Code tickets so you must bring a print out of your ticket

The bar is CASH ONLY – there is cash back facility but we advise bring enough cash for the night

There will be a fully staffed cloak room – please note this is located on the 3rd floor

Remember NYD starts at 6pm so make sure you get down early.

Look forward to see you all :)

Re the ott negative comments about the venue. We’ve broken in more venues than any other promoter this year and gone out of our way each time to make sure they’re suitable. Peckham Palais is a large venue across 3 floors, all of the toilets have been serviced and we’re gutting the place to put in our own sound system and bar teams which we always do for all of our events. More importantly Peckham Palais is a fully licensed venue so for NYE & NYD we feel this is very important to make sure the events run smoothly. We announced the venue today as we’ve spent the last 8 weeks making sure the venue is suitable and making improvements so that we’re 100% happy with things

As for the lovely comment as ‘money grabbin arseholes’ this event started sale at just £5 and if you look at the line up across 3 rooms and compare to the other NYE & NYD events charging £40 to £70 it may put things into perspective at the reasonable cost.

I have complete faith in EM. The whole Hydra series has been a complete success - particularly the Dixon after party. They always consider sound and logistics from the perspective of a clubber.

I've never been to this venue but the Busey building next door is absolutely fine.

There's nothing money grabbing about EM at all. This lineup anywhere else would be £30 +.

There's plenty of things to complain about in the London scene but Electric Minds isn't one of them.

I have every faith in you guys getting the venue up to scratch on the inside... As long as I actually make it into the front door without being bummed by bigger boys en route, I'm sure it'll be a banging night! ;)

why don't the individuals with negative comments actually wait for the party to happen before they judge!

It will be a success, it always is

Yeh its fair enuff to make these statements once uv sold all the tickets mate, I went to your first night the ostgut ton 1, djs absolutly killed it but tickets were obv oversold so much because I have never been to a sweatbox quite like it, ur lucky no1 died in there.. And if your such bangin promoters surely you would have ended the year with a bang not in the biggest dive in my area. now I understand why it was announced so late.

Agree with nikopfister on this one, the ostgut ton night was vibes but a complete nightmare and health hazard. Peckham palais is just takin the piss, I hope you haven't sold too many tickets.

Everyone hating on Peckham Palais should chill. It's a wicked little venue that goes off when a big soundsystem is installed. It's definitely not your usual club environment but surely that's the whole charm?!

if its such a great venue and it is fully licensed why wait until 3 days before the event to announce the venue? that seems off to me.

I can understand the warehouses than run on temporary licenses which have to be approved by the police and council before they can be advertised. but not announcing a fully licensed venue until now....

not just electric minds that are guilty of this but promoters need to announce everything in advance and not use different ticket price tiers to pressurise people to committing before they know all the details.

Jimmy what you may not realise is that for many promoters in London it's often the case that events get moved to different venues behind the scenes. London is not full of empty spaces to use, licensing is complicated and venues from time to time fall through and without anyone knowing the stressful task of finding a replacement and plans changed takes place .

There are many reasons why events remain as tba, pressurising people into buying a ticket isn't one of them

EM, set times gonna be released?
