Ruskin & Broom - Bites cover
RA Review
Break out your glowsticks. OK. That might be a bit of a stretch, but it's the first image that comes to mind when James Ruskin and Mark Broom's "Bites" kicks off. The duo have already shown a knack for taking industrial-strength techno and imbuing it with a hint of prog, but "Bites" takes it to anot..

Not feeling this. If it was by any other artist it'd get slated. Techno it most certainly isn't.

How is it not Techno? Just because it's slightly off the standard formula...

Next @ Klubnacht
All I can say is that Bites and Nel go off on the Berghain floor. I'm not a fan of Bites (a bit too monotone for my ears) when listening to it at home but when you hear it out it kinda works and it always went down well at the Mote Evolver vs Klockworks night (I think I heard it 3 times that event).

Absolute rubbish. Its about time Blueprint stopped fucking about and got to releasing decent late night, heads down fist pumping techno again. Why try and fix that which was never broken?
