Strongly disagree. Just because many producers go down that route that doesn't mean it has to be that way.

| #4 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 11:04 Another "anyonymous" guy in a mask? Really? At this point it's kind of becoming a joke. If you actually wanted the focus to be on the music, you wouldn't be doing interviews on RA in the first place.

| #6 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 11:36 Yea the whole mask thing is even worse in my opinion. Instead of having people focus on your face, you're going to try and make them focus on your mask, what's the difference?

Maybe you can ask the same question to the two guys in your avatar pic.

| #10 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 13:35 Give me a techno head in a mask anyday over all the faux deep house bollocks . Have you taken the time to listen to his music? Or did you just see the mask and write him off? I couldn't care if he wears a 16th century suit of armor to spin tunes in... as long as the music is good, which his is.

| #11 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 13:39 Wow, a lot of haters in here, just bla bla bla.. have anyone of you read the interview? Or listened to his music. Or did you only concentrate on what he was wearing? LOL.. Sense a lot of jealousy...

| #12 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 13:40 Amazing producer, all his releases gives me goosebumps. What's up with you stubborn haters??? Enjoy the music instead.

| #14 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 14:28 at first, i was like, who the f is this guy, a techno deadmau5? attention whore.
but then i put some tracks on, and they're good stuff. so i forgive.

| #15 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 14:32 He makes some great music and that´s all I care in the end, I like the mix of sweetness and roughness in his tunes. In time, anything in this forum becomes uncool and a focus for hate, and that hate usually has f**k all to do with the music. He could perform in the nude with a cattleprod up his arse, for all I care.

| #17 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 14:46 I'm so sure he's a swede getting all that support from his peeps here and getting the music out on skudge and kontra. so who could it be 15 years in the game and fell off for a bit around 2000? cool music whoever it is. #gettingoutmypopcorn

 |
| #18 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 15:06 Also interesting: According to Rivet he did the remix for Kowton - Dirty Little Bomb completely based off Madonna - Evita samples. If that's true then zomfg.

Also, was in the jungle/drum n bass scene, wears a DAF shirt and the "mask" is more industrial than techno-inspired... and since he released on Frozen Border and Olof Dreijer/Oni Ayhun also did... there might be a connection there...

| #23 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 17:39 Maybe, under the mask, Rivet looks like a mix between Robert Pattinson and The Rock, with the on stage charisma of a young Mick Jagger. He fears the inevitable superstardom that comes with being a techno producer.
But seriously....his productions sound good. Though hardly original, it's smart to market himself and to stand out as more than just a bloke in a t-shirt.

| #26 / Fri, 19 Oct 12 19:02 I agree so much. That track almost brings me to tears. The Analogue Freemix that he gave away is also incredibly lovely. I don't give a fuck about his mask or his real identity or whatever...the guy can write damn fine music.

Just going by looks, and the old DnB connection with a newer love of techno, I'm gonna say - Doc Scott!

he could be from slipknot DJ Starscream perhaps? I'm surprised to see people actually defending this mask wearing cliche's choice of wardrobe. For fucks sake it was bad enough when sbtrkt started copying redshape, I'm sorry if some people just don't like gimmicks.

| #41 / Mon, 22 Oct 12 11:08 haha - is this because he's so dashingly handsome, he fear's people will only be interested in swooning over his amazing facial features, as opposed to his music? lol Or maybe he has a second nose,..or he's a Cyclops? lol
I'm not doubting his music, i just think it's another gimmick though personally. My face would melt wearing a gimp mask whilst DJing lol

| #48 / Mon, 22 Oct 12 21:39 Posted by RyanKelsallhahaha this guy for sure is a close friend to the usual RA posters and writers and a couple of the reviewers, for sure why? because the guys who would normally all rip someone to bits for wearing something as daft as a mask and then claiming to be all about the music is being defended by these very people and its always the same crew the same haters and moaners. its probably even one of them, haha comedy pretty much. or he's on their label

| #50 / Tue, 23 Oct 12 11:33 This is pretty rediculous , this is a person who had a pretty mediocre techno carrer between 2000-2010 who is trying to paint them selfs as possibly being someone important doing something under a new guise , for those of you who are interested in who Rivet is , here is his his past work under the name mika hallback.
