I'll rarely say this these days, but there are too many filler tracks/interludes on here.

top producer, some great tracks for me in this album, kinda shocked by the rating.

Great album, gritty & raw. Also sounds very different than most producers these days

love & support KW, but this album was a bit of a let down.

just as it dropped, I remember reading him saying something along the lines of how he could have made a better effort or he has way more to offer, etc. this alone indicated maybe he just slapped some of this together. who knows, maybe not. there are some interesting tracks on here, but overall was expecting a bit more.

He's right. RA probably just 2.5ed him to stir shit and generate a reaction. You've got a lot of wanker reviewers on here, just spewing shit to spew shit and "get their foot in the door" so they can get in line and stroke some DJ aura. There's a couple respectable "journalists" in this scene, but most of these cats are a joke like Andy Ryce.

for the record, in person, KW is a super nice person. almost completely different then he lets on, online.

Wicked album absurd review.

There is plenty of terrible cooky cutter house & poor mans pop thats written by engineers not even by the artists on the cover that gets higher on here. This album sounds like Kris and nobody else. A 2.5 makes a joke of the whole marking system.

You realize the reviewer does not determine the rating on RA? Either way, just because a reviewer actually does his job and publishes his honest opinion while ignoring the hype does not mean he's trying to stir up shit on purpose.

we heard from a very reliable source that KW has his studio engineer make his tracks while he keeps it real walking his chuahuahua on the streets of some white suburban neighbourhood 50 miles from Detroit. He did do the artwork himself tho, on Microsoft paint.

I can safely say that Kris Wadsworth is one of my biggest inspirations as an artist. He is an icon in this scene of music, a serious role model in my life, and he is a beacon for this generation.

This article is so squeamishly, patently loaded with personal bias its almost funny.

A shame that RA has allowed the publication of this unimaginative, unprofessional, and to be honest at times bitter and down right mean, opinion of one person to be published under the 'guise' of a critical review.

What the reviewer has failed to grasp here is that Kris is a producer that attempts to push things forward - He has put together an album that is both engaging, interesting and doesn't pander to the beatport top 100 like the majority of producers out there. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on music but I think 2 and a half is an ignorant score.

i think it's a great album. it's a bit oddly placed on Physical but it's also the most interesting, daring and creative thing they've released in years. i hope they stick with material that is pushing the envelope like they did when they started, and supporting artists like Kris that have a clearly defined vision of their art. any movement away from the cookie cutter, trendy, glossy same-bassline, regurgitated, derivative nonsense is a good movement.

PS i'm not saying physical was releasing that kinda stuff. i'm saying everybody and their mom is.
