For heaven's sake, do not bring religion into the rave scene. If you don't want to do drugs, that's perfectly acceptable. If you believe you're communicating with a higher entity or spirit on the dancefloor, again, that's amiable. But don't destroy the rather... precarious egalitarian spirit this scene has managed to foster. Like it or not, dance music for 95% of people serves as a mechanism to disperse tension, thus it is invariably hedonistic. So glad this hasn't gained prominence in the UK.
