No matter how late Flight ACA508 would have been, he would still have been able to make Flight ACA33. His connecting flight to Sydney was able to be reached, but for whatever reason, this Founding Father of House lives in a world where other people are liable for his inability to traverse an airport terminal.

It also goes without saying, DJ or not, you should probably keep important things in your carry-on luggage like a change of clothes and the things you think you probably can't do without once you reach your destination.

Tl;dr version - Lil' Louis probably left the terminal to do something stupid, missed his flight, had a cry about it and chose to keep the pretty sum of money because he doesn't want to admit fault and give it back.

After reading this entire long ass dialogue, I am disgusted. Karim should be ashamed of himself. He has breached the agreement many times over, and the bottom line is, Louis is absolutely right, and he shouldn't give the money back. In fact, how dare you even attempt this the way you are. And to make his shit public, who does that? NO DJ should want to work with you again. AND How can anyone defend this shit! READ! he could not make that flight! His bags were lost. No Dj would get on the plane without his music.

And @vicachu, you are either ignorant and cannot read, or insane. Louis was automatically rebooked by the airline's computer. He had to clear customs, collect his bag, and try to make an international connection in 26 minutes! That was impossible! You guys must have never traveled in your life.

WOW! I just read all of this and these promoters are full of it. They totally were over their heads and couldn't afford a celebrity DJ. This is shown in the story on tumblr. Then they said he didn't lose his bag and he didn't want to get on the flight. REALLY? Who flies to Canada not intending to follow thru with the rest of the flight. NOBODY. I think these promoters are just firing off because they can't afford to fly him back. There is no way I would give back that money. Especially after he said he'd rebook.

Airline gets delayed and misplaces DJ's show equipment. Equipment situation is not resolved in time for DJ to make it with his stuff to Australia. Says he'll reschedule shows w/ Club Owner. Club Owner asks for money back.
Things go downhill. Club owner pastes copies seemingly endless thread of emails as a "book" without recognizing that maybe, just maybe, he doesn't have the skills necessary to successfully negotiate a contract, including what might happen if everything doesn't go perfectly according to plan.."

Could this have been better addressed privately? Probably.

He should keep the money because he didn't do anything wrong. He got on the flight. and his bag was lost by the airline that the promoter chose, that and everything else after was the promoter fault for booking that airline against Louis' wishes, as well as the airline. Louis offered to reschedule, which is above and beyond what many people would do. What don't you understand?

Exactly soundhour! Firstly, you want to talk about shady? Why would this promoter advertise Louis after Louis told him that the impostor agent Yoori was not in fact his agent. That sounds fraudulent to me. Louis tried in so many ways to work it out, as evidence throughout this ordeal, and it should've been worked out privately. It is incredible that Karim would put Louis' private info out in public like that, and more incredible that anyone would support that. No one should want to work with Karim after that. And if Louis wanted to steal the money, why did he go to Canada and stay there for a few days trying to get to Australia? And after the proof i just read about Louis' bags with his music in it being lost, and all the other airline shit, how could Karim even be upset? if he were a credible promoter, he would gladly arrange to rebook Louis, and do everything to salvage his own reputation.

I feel really sorry for him having to wear the same clothes for TWO DAYS!!! Can't even imagine how that would feel, seriously. Especially after a tough day of sitting on the plane.

If Louis was not at fault, as in, it was not his fault that the bags with his music got lost for a week, and his connection was lost because of a nearly three hour delay, as admitted by the airline (an airline that Louis did not want to fly on that was chosen by the promoter) and he offered to still reschedule, then why should he pay the money back? That's not the way it works. READING IS FUNDAMENTAL.

It amazes me how DJ's are commenting on here dogging Louis, when it's obvious he didn't do anything wrong. If I lost my bag of music I wouldn't have come either. That's stupid.

DJ's need to stick together on this one. Ya'll on here saying pay you instead to come do a gig. WHY? So they can take your personal information and blast it online if they don't like you? That's just wrong. Who would ever want to play for this guy again after that. And what kind of person would want to step on a fellow DJ to get a gig.

Anybody that does that is WACK! I wouldn't pay a million dollars to see that kind of DJ.

@Bitchface I read that part and he never said it was his brothers account. He said his brother handles his business affairs. Louis wrote a book called "A Man's Diary" so clearly he has something to do with the account. I think thats something the promoters made up. Some more BULL.

It's obvious LL went through CBSA with his luggage, which he then did not place again on the baggage carousel. He then claimed to Air Canada that he arrived too late to make his connection so the airport booked his hotel. With luggage in hand, he then later turned this baggage in to baggage services to somebody named "Ray" who entered it into their system so it would show up in a baggage search later on and it would even go back to Chicago which was where he was planning on going with his pilfered $12K in the first place. The e-mails are all obviously planned out and the "fake" agent is a person connected to LL.

Pretty impressive con in scope, too bad someone called you on it. Your arguments are making you look even worse in the process, if I were you I'd cease your online PR stunt and deal with the real world legal ramifications your client has brought upon you,

cause no one is arsed finding out what other shows some washed up has been who trades on ancient glories has missed in the last 85 years or however long it was since he invented music and dancing and whatever other shite he's bullshitted on about in his Bio.

Louis wrote a book once. This means he looks after a bank account given to promoters to pay his fees into. Even by trolling standards thats just a weird thing to come out with.
