After his awesome remix of Ceri "Would You..." recently on 3am, Bacelona-based Mexican dude Matt Akita returns to 3am for his first original outing, adding 3am to his list of original labels which includes Clubstream, Ritmikal, Comfusion, Tucana & Sheliving Music.
"Playing" is a powerful deep/tech groove, real heads-down tackle - a low bassline groove & slight tribal-tech vibe in the percussion shows Matt at his finest; dark tinged deep/tech house aimed squarely at the floors.
Making his debut on 3am is Manchester-based Pete Smith a.k.a Sankeys & Dusted Manchester resident Mr Pedros, whose recent outings on labels such as Midnight Social & Manchester Underground have really made an impression. Here Mr Pedros takes the original vibe & reworks it into a low-slung deep house groover; warm pads over a punchy bassline make for a supreme hip-shaking gem.
Bounce House Recordings main-man & 3am fave DK Watts makes a welcome return to the label after his brilliantly received EP earlier in 2012. Here DK turns in a superb building deep house groove, his subtle reworking of the bassline & the use of shimmering keys create a timeless house outing.
Last but by no means least, we welcome back Audio Units, making a huge mark on the rapidly rising Indian house scene & returning after their massive "Sample The Example" cut on 3am in summer. The guys here add some new percussive elements, reworking the bassline & creating an absolute deep/tech bomb - check the guys soon on labels such as 66Khz, Bequem Digital & Springtube as well as 3am.
