Wow, Output in Brooklyn, New York.

This venue SUCKS.

1. You buy a ticket ahead of time, and have to wait in line.
2. You are FORCED to check your jacket
3. Oh, before that you are patted down.
4. The staff is wearing those generic ear bud FBI things.
5. 74 WYTHE STREET SUCKS
6. The sound system is WAY subpar, and fixed
7. The bathrooms are unisex, and don't have doors.
8. There are four lines to get in, you go through them all.
9. The DJ is elevate a bit and 20ft away.

Avoid output club like THE PLAGUE....

The sound system is beautiful; it was fluttering my breath during Peter van Hoesen's set this morning. Total immersion.

Otherwise, you went to Cielo's sister club and were expecting what, a loading dock in Red Hook? I can't recall ever being asked "may I search you?" at a door before. Took me all of 5 minutes to get through lines, search, and coat check with a presale ticket.

Pay this guy no mind. Yes, there is one line for paid and unpaid patrons. It's why every promoter suggests early arrival. This isn't a super club, the space is limited. If you want to be there, you will. It gets incredibly warm inside once it's filled up and seriously, where the f**k are you going to put your jacket? On my seat? The dance floor? What's in your pockets that you feel you need to hide? The earbud thing and 74 Wythe sucking...Ok, maybe I will give you that much. There are two bathrooms my friend, the other one has doors and I have never heard ANYONE complain about unisex bathrooms. I don't know what four lines you waited in pal - maybe they didn't want your energy inside and tried to discourage you, just saying. The soundsystem is subpar? That sentence is laughable and not worth a reply. You need to be face to face with the dj to have a good time, are you there for them or the music? It's not perfect, but you just sound hella salty.

This is going to be great. As long as you have an advance ticket and/or some patience at the door, I've really enjoyed Output. The soundsystem is amazing, and there really isn't a place in the club where the music doesn't sound very good+.

Everytime I've been there, they have been true to their word, so not really transferrable.
Hope it works for you of course.

AND: Output has posted that they will ALWAYS have doortickets available, but you can read up on door-tix lines, etc elsewhere.

I have never seen them NOT sell tickets at the door.
Get there early!

It is IMPERATIVE that if you purchase tickets from someone who bought their tickets on line at www.residentadvisor.net to come with a photocopy of that persons ID. If you can not print it out have the picture of their ID on your phone!
So if someone wants to buy your tickets please give them a copy of your ID, so they can enjoy the event!

PLEASE make sure that the person who you sold the ticket to has a copy of your ID so they do not have issues at the event!

Even with E-ticket, upon entry, you will need to present your identification and, if requested by the promoter, the credit card that was used in the transaction If you were not the original purchaser bring a copy of the original purchasers ID.
RA recommends printing the email just in case there are problems gaining access to the event.

any idea of what time he is scheduled to land on the decks at output? or at least the order of dj's which would help to arrive in a timely manner (esp with the weather!)?
