Cracking album needs a 3 visit listen to bed in but 5 absolute DM classics in there!
Nice to get my hands on a DM pick up n play album, been a while!!

| #21 / Fri, 10 May 13 13:03 It's amazing how many reviewers don't get DM. Now they've never made a bad album but to suggest that they've done nothing decent since 'Ultra' - their third worst or 'Exciter' fourth worst, shows rank poor knowledge.
How a reviewer can listen to 'Playing the Angel' and suggest it's the work of a band that is now 'questionable' defies logic!!!!!! It was the only original work of 2005!!
Anyway back to this, (where the first three tracks are actually the worst) it's a grower and like all DM albums needs at least five listens. But, as usual with them, it's the tracks that appear lightweight that make the most impact - so we've got the wonderful low key 'My Little Universe' brilliant in it's introspection and mickey taking of someone in such a world or 'Slow' or 'You should be higher' or 'Alone'.
Problem is too many people only take a passing interest in DM and just expect them to 'rock' like they did on SOFAD - actually one of their worst albums for most DM fans, this one included. DM's only crime here is not to include the brilliant bonus tracks 'Happens all the time, 'Always' and 'All thats mine' instead of say the first three tracks. Then we'd have the best album of many a year - rather just than, the album of this year
