| #13 / Sun, 24 Feb 13 06:31 NYC club pricing always seems outrageous when you figure Berghain charges 12.00 Euro and you get a 30,000 Euro Funktion One dance stack, no bottle service douchebags, and can come and go from midnight Sat. to 7AM Mon.

| #14 / Sun, 24 Feb 13 19:30 Agreed! wouldnt it be great to have a club that allowed 30 hour parties in NYC?
Anyhow, check your inbox if you posted on this thread - we dont want anyone to miss out on this event.

| #15 / Mon, 25 Feb 13 16:28 I'm disappointed at the cover, and... the phrase 'extended' might need to be taken with a grain of salt, as this venue closes at 4 sharp.

and they really do, can attest to that. $40 is steep? $+15 jump to stage two is a lot? All comparatively true, but seriously, the Marquee redo was not done for $0. Someone's gotta help cover those costs, and the marginal day-to-days, have to be covered as well. Sure I'd prefer less too, but insane here isn't really the right word. Want insane: Just bought 6 furthur tickets = $630, and that's for only 3 out of the 8 night run. that's insane, and makes this look cheap. (and rules out even doing 6 of the 8, let alone all of them....) Still sorry can't make this one

But have you ever looked at rents in Berlin and compared those to NYC? Now with the GEMA effin things up even more, that will have to change, or even an icon like Berghain may not be around forever. Plus, they're in the wage-structure of the place: incomes are not nearly as high in Berlin as in NYC either. I was just walking by the power-plant on 11th and 58th(?) thinking that that would make an interesting venue... lol. Finally, another reason you just can't compare: take your "average" weekend offering at Berghain or Panorama, but esp. Berghain, and then try to imagine ANY place in NYC regularly filling to capacity and having monster lines out to boot? You can't imagine it, because it's so absurd. If that weren't so, then the Ostgut nights here would sell out Roseland in minutes.
