| #0 / Wed, 11 Sep 02 02:42 After a successful first event, Magnetic South has announced their next party date and future directions. The first series of events, named ‘MS’, will be based in Melbourne and continue with the ‘progressive’ flavour right through until December. Then the crew will present ‘Magnetic Summer’, a house music series in early January.
The next party, MS Lockdown!, continues the Magnetic South theme of familiar names alongside up-and-coming DJs. Scheduled for Friday 27 September it will again be held at the Royal Melbourne Hotel, a fresh venue on the Melbourne scene. The main room will feature sets from Steve Stratton and DJ Brendon (Adelaide), with Sean Quinn doing a 3 hour closing set. The house room will have DJs Chris McFarlane and Fab. Returning to MS again, Mark Ganz will play the closing set in the loft. The Tranzfusion Cell Blocks play host to Demo Decks Competition winners. Catch new talents Guy Keating, Stu Bransbury, Dean Millson and Jason Downs playing in this area of the venue.
Magnetic South will also present ‘Afterburner’ for the Gold Coast Indy Carnival and are looking at putting on events in Auckland, Sydney and Adelaide in the future.

| #2 / Wed, 11 Sep 02 10:15 the last MS party was loads of fun  Ganz was the star of the night for me at that party, so its excellent to see them give him a 2nd go! Dont worry Ukime about broken beats....the MS peeps want to tackle breakbeat and tech parties in the future
