In this podcast Chris slices and rearranges a hard drive of hip hop and electronica, all with his signature distorted funk. In what may be a record number of tracks for the RA Podcast, de Luca drops big guns such as Snoop Dog, Eminem, Missy Elliot and Kelis alongside new favourites like Uffie and Jackson and his Computer Band. One particular section rocks the pop grooves of the 90's with such classics as Vanilla Ice (Ice, Ice Baby), C&C Music Factory (Everybody Dance Now), Snap (I've got the Power) and Kris Kross (Jump).

Don't get me wrong, I definitely dig the minimal/German stuff, but it was a breath of fresh air to finally hear something different and so well done. Keep it up man, and if you're ever touring the states please be sure to let us know

personally, i don't feel mixing music should be constant 4/4 beats. minimal is good and all, but i agree, it gets a slightly stale week after week.
this iwas quite refreshing.

| #15 / Thu, 29 Jun 06 02:12 just thought id add that the trak starting from vanilla ice through the kris kross cut up is all one trak by bit meddler. the trak is called shitmix 2000. so it wasnt actually being mixt by chris de luca .

Bout time you minimal nazi's experimented a lil ? ... especially with De Luca's experimental style Great work Rich!

| #18 / Fri, 30 Jun 06 19:21 Glad to see stepping away from the minimal genre for a moment, however that being said I really was not into this mix at all. It was just all over the place technically. Nice to hear some old school tracks but like I said this just did not cut it for me. Sorry
