quote: "not only does he blend the records wonderfully, but he does it in key".

I love Ewan's remixes and he has a very distinct style but I don't understand why it is such a big deal that is done in key?
He is not using records, blending is not that difficult to do with warped digital audio files. I am sure there are pugins that will go through all your files and tell you which key they are in.
Perhaps the emphasis could be on the music with a full track list?

Easily slips into my Top 5 Podcasts, and will rank alongside Will Saul as most enjoyable first time listen.

Other members of my top 5 are growers....

His Royal Phatness pulls out some heavy duty kit indeed.
Tracklist would be nice though.

Erm, yes it was all done with plug-ins. In fact, Ableton now has a "tune picker" plug in that logs in the Kompakt record store and buys tracks it thinks you'll like too. I just switched the computer on and went for a coffee. :)

Seriously though, I just checked and I pitched just 3 tracks out of the 14 using Live. They are pretty much all mixes that I discovered from playing out over the summer. No plug-ins required. Just so as you know.

best wishes,

ewan

Thought so! ;-) No in all seriousness I am not having a go, I love what Live has enabled people to do and that is why I use it myself. I just think that technical credit should be spared in favor for more music info, especially for a podcast.

Thats my '49 percent' anyway.

Yeah, this one is really good. Lots of warmth and connections between tracks. It's the default sound around the house at the mo. Thanks, Ewan!

Fantastic mix!

That Alex Smoke remix of the JB track is, in particular, quite excellent.

Searched this on beaport and its not peace offering but Dump truck.

Been wanting this for ages :)

London’s world-renowned fabric nightclub is a juicy peach? A crisp apple? No,an onion. It has many layers and a soundsystem of such clarity that it’s been known to bring people to tears.......
