Saw the chap on the right last year at secret sundays. Very good set.

Looking forward to hearing this mix :)

London’s world-renowned fabric nightclub is a juicy peach? A crisp apple? No,an onion. It has many layers and a soundsystem of such clarity that it’s been known to bring people to tears.......

it's not always about the latest of the latest folks. it's also about vibe. and kristian was dead on this night. the crowd could not have been happier.

complaining that Ame spin 'Rej' is ridiculous. It's not a lack of imagination on their part - it's their track! They made it. People came especially with copies of 12" under their arm for the guy to sign (one even asked me to sign one WTF?). They would have torn Kristian to pieces if he hadn't played it that night. Coming up next: complaints that the Rolling Stones play Rolling Stones songs...

i really enjoyed this set - a brilliant night - fun was had by all. Cheers, Ame.

I really enjoyed this.
You can hear the people in the background having a wicked time. There's nothing wrong with 130bpm.
It's groovy and it's fun.
There's a lot of clarity and the EQ is broad too so it sounds really good on the Hi-Fi. (even MP3'd at 160k) :)
This is getting some air time next time people come over.
Well done Âme.
Never herard of you before today.

Once again, good set, forget the songs, listen to the mixes, well the start is a bit off but later, uff... Of course each of the 42 podcast have their piece. I'm more into mike shannon type of music or exercise one, but this ones has the groove allright. Class could be the wolrd.

how about Tobi Neauman?

oh. common..

don't be narrow minded... if it was all about the newest music, then people would just download the new tracks and listen to them @ home...and there wouldn't be any need of DJs...

it's so much better when a DJ plays the music he really loves...rather than just droppin all the new tracks he downloaded from Beatport 2 hours before his gig....

very few DJs today play by heart and soul... and in spite of admiring you judge them and call them failures...

shame on you!

"heart and soul" well put, and that's the music that always gets me... i feel it... and i'm feelin this.. AME have blown me away from the moment i heard their essential mix.

for those who need it more upbeat... try this set just before you goto bed... quite nice.

Hey guys don't get me wrong the mix was good and all i just like new tracks to listen to thats all. I mean rej and phuturebound are good tracks and all but they have been played to death. There are some tracks on here that i do like and never heard before but i guess i wait with aticipation for one week for the podcasts to come up and when the mix has some old tracks on there it kinda puts a downer or me.. Anyway tracklist please :D Thanks

where /when was this recorded or am i being stupid?

there are some quality tracks on there - yeah they may be old/last year whatever and rej was caned so much last year it actually got annoying but having not heard it for a while it is a bloody masterpiece. A shame that these days every good track gets rinsed by djs of all genres (e.g mouth to mouth by audion) but i suppose thats just how it goes

nu skool deeep house for making love on it, that's the way I like it....It's got the vibe, it's got the groove...Thanx RA

As for the battle - new traxx Vs old tracks...there are some new quite nice tracks like It's all True by Everything But The House Diva Tracey Thorn...but the final Villalobos'Sinner come too much for me as it's more spinned these days even from the Rej.....
Thanx again RA....what about Loco Dice, Switch in the mix...

Jesus christ. Dance music has genres for a fucking reason, you may like some more than others, but there would be no point if the post casts were all of the same ilk. Ame do and make house sound great. I love minimal techno like cheese on toast, but its great to have some variation. Broaden ya bloody minds.

Lovely work Ame

p.s LUCIANO IS AMAZING, think about it RA

yeah i really like how people have the audacity to bitch about this and others. like sianissimo said, "very few DJs today play by heart and soul... and in spite of admiring you judge them and call them failures...

shame on you!"

seriously. fuck whats new and whats old. there should be no concept of time in this world. there are PLENTY of song that are really old and are just as good, if not even better, as the new shit.

koudos to AME

Off-topic, but I must second the request for Tobi Neumann! IMHO, his "Tobi Neumann: In the Mix - Fliederlieder" was one of the best compilations of 2006.

my first post to Resident Advisor - registered especially for this podcast! :D

Please people stop comparing a live club/party recording to a 'Made-for-RA' podcast. This Âme set was mixed and selected for the pleasure of the people in the Barcelona club on the night. The podcast is just a bonus!

I've only heard the first half so far, many of the tracks I've heard are from 2006/2007. I was disappointed it's a live recording (with crowd effects) rather than a studio mix but that's no reason to be so critical. These guys play for the crowd and do a very good job at it; if you see them play London or Berlin you'll hear a different sound, with less known deeper tracks and quite possibly some even older tunes! (shock horror) :p

Maybe some people are not used to seeing dj's play for a party crowd rather than a cd or iPod.

Paul

You obviously have no idea about an Australian sense of humor. Chill out mate, I never said that you couldn't have an opinion. Embrace more variety in these podcasts! Silly (angry) goose LOL
