 | RA Review Loco Dice comes of age with this accomplished double CD mix to represent TDK's 2007 Timewarp festival. He’s already released two mix CDs as part of double sets, but this is the first time he gets to spread his talent over a full two discs. Yet it’s Loco Dice’s productions which have garnered him the..

| #5 / Thu, 19 Apr 07 23:54 Is Loco Dice the most overrated DJ in dance music? I've seen him in a club and it was just really, really tedious. if you're going to play loop techno, best to change the loops faster than every two minutes.

to me both discs sound kinda flat. there's not much happening - just bang bang bleep bleep.

dice is one of the better examples of great producer - but horrible dj. he should just stick with making records. that's what he's good at.

| #13 / Sat, 21 Apr 07 00:33 yea I've seen him a few times in the past few months and have been rather disappointed on all accounts his sets just seem to drag. He's not the most spectacular dj but a great producer at that.
Haven't had a go at this compilation yet will have to check it out.

| #15 / Sun, 29 Apr 07 18:03 I put on this CD, lay down and fell asleep. Loco Dice's 2005 Essential Mix from dc10 was a techno master class. This isn't anywhere near it - it's minimal background muzak. I heard he has left his residency with dc10 and this CD explains why.

| #16 / Sun, 29 Apr 07 18:42 I think Dice is a good DJ. Seen him play very well at Space Ibiza and Fabric. He's more of a DJ than producer isn't he? Doesn't Buttrich push all the buttons?

| #19 / Tue, 19 Jun 07 07:39 I'm sorry but I've been listening to this for a couple of weeks now and it's QUALITY. It's pretty understated stuff and on first listen there isn't much to grab on to but after repeated listening there is enough quirkiness in the tracklisting for it to really shine. The ultra crisp sound quality also helps. Perfect home listening, thanks Loco.
