#1a James Holden - Live @ Flex Vienna 2005
#1b DJ Hell - Misch Masch 2006
I really would like to know what your favorites are. Maybe I get ideas for mixes I dindn't catch yet.

otherwise theres a few perth gigs that by all standards, were fucking amazing.

And I've got a shitload of love for Dan Selzer and Dave Simonetti's "Crazy Rhythms" too. But that's kinda kitschy.
Plus the set played by some unknown 18 year old kid that I once heard in the basement of Wang on Hackney road in like 2003 that completely blew me away but I never found out his name.

Dave is from Leeds, played lots there in early 90s, was guest in Northern ireland quite a bit and now lives in Dublin, Ireland, but his mix tapes are stuff of legend. wo spring to mind: 1. electronic intercourse and his mix for indigenous music that wa sput out on CD. from AFX and Mo Wax to Norn Soul and Jurassic 5, this techno dj is in my opinion one of the best, like the greatest footballer you never seen play he is possibly the best dj you never heard. Was so happy to find this online a year or two ago, so much fun in this mix. Favourite live sets were Fatboy Slim on his birthday at The Boutique in Brighton either 98 or 99, Tiga at Sonar last year, Derrick Carter at Basics the first time i saw him 95 or 96. Daft Punk at Basics in The Pleasure Rooms. Ralph Lawson lots of times - the time that sticks in my mind for some odd reason is the first night at Mint when Carter played and was good, then Ralphie came on and was, somehow, ten times better. Go on Ralphie!

I've been listening to that mix for more than enough and it still gives me goosebumps - all the tracks in it are just perfect.

As for my favourite Dj mixes.. Lazydog vol 1 by Ben Watt (buzzin' fly) has been truly inspirational over the years and also Jeff Samuel on the Pokerflat compilation 4... Another favourite mix is actually one i made with Philip Glass' classic minimal compositions on the background and some emo house.
